People get dechurched not because of not getting what they want, rather watching people preach the word of god, and live a life of sin. I would say hypocrisy plays a big factor.

He does not know what he is talking about. A large percentage of the dechurched were highly committed believers who were pushed out of the neo reformed church against their will because their enthusiasm for following after God, persuasion evangelism, and sound doctrine as actually taught in the Bible itself caused them to be "divisive."

This is part of the "de-churched" phenomenon. Lack of interest in performance speakers.

I don't like his macho American emotional preaching style - he goes out of his way to sound street savy - not a good way of expression for a Christian

Respectfully, I don't believe Pastor Matt Chandler is being any other way than himself. If you mean to say that the "cultural stereotype" that he is presenting is a "macho American", than I think your presupposition about this stereotype is flawed. John the Baptizer was a wild man who was a voice in the wilderness crying for people to repent and believe. Would you consider him a cultural stereotype as well?
