It’s hard to win trying to sue the police department. I tried too. If you won, it would be PUBLIC RECORD that the police are dirty...all the lawyers/cops/judges know each other and work together. I've been watched HARD driving through those areas as a Black woman- thankfully always in a nice vehicle... but the police in these areas act so confused to see any of us out there. The REAL issue: A lot of high school athletes who never made it to college ball, let alone professional sports and decided to become cops. Envy at its finest... especially towards Black men who are clearly doing well for themselves. It sucks that the Laker's training facility is out that way; convenient to the airport with decent properties a short drive away... but those Southbay police officers are way too quick to provoke a situation in an area where there's no need for all of that.

I wish that too! Personally, I respect cops, because most of the times they've been helpful to me, but unfortunately I've been the victim of police brutality myself, when they patted me down at an airport, they checked my bags and took me into the airport's police station, they searched my bags and I hadn't done anything ilegal! Another case, which was even worse, was when a cop almost blew a classmate's head off, because he pointed his gun at him! We were filiming a video for our school's anniversary and the cops thought that we were doing something immoral and ilegal, but things were taken out of context and completely blown out of proportion! Some cops are just on a power trip! Thank goodness, not everybody is like that!

I had a white cop pull me over on 2 SEPARATE OCCASIONS AT MY JOB ON COMPANY PROPERTY by the highway. He ran my tags, asked me what we did at my job, and then asked if I had any warrants. I STILL HAD MY COMPANY UNIFORM ON and I told him to follow me back to the office and ask the other employees who I was. He said that wasn't necessary, but still questioned me about the job. BOTH TIMES HE STOPPED ME, HE GAVE ME THE EXACT SAME LINES. He said there were some thefts at my job, but I know there's about 15 cameras on the PROPERTY and that the grounds are always secure. The first time he stopped me, my coworkers laughed and asked why he singled me out. We all pulled out the same exact time, onto the highway, but I'm the only one to get blue lights. Oh, and I just happened to be the only non white worker we had. Go figure...

*Eastside Low Bottoms shit !* I recently had something similar happen to me a couple weeks ago on Hollywood Blvd one nite. My 2 comrads and i were in our lowriders cruisin' the Blvd. I'm the lead car going west. The kkkops were going East. They pass us, make a u-turn, pass the other 2 cars and get behind me. The light turns green, i go and they light me up. I pull over and park. I hear "Turn the car off" so i do it. I look back and they are in full "felony stop" mode ! The driver tells me to exit my vehicle and i oblige...HANDS IN FULL VIEW OF COURSE ! They tell me to face the wall...all while tourists are walking by, telling me "That's fucked up." I'm pausing to wait for crowds of ppl walking by before i can even get to the wall ! They do the whole "search me for weapons" thing, of course. After all of this, the white officer (the other, latino) asks me "Do u kno why i pulled u over ?" I said, "Yea, for one of my headlight being out." I knew because prior to arriving, i was just at a gas station tryna find out why one went out suddenly. "But is all of this necessary ?" He says, "Well u kno how it is with the lowriders. I didn't want to walk up to the barrel of a gun." Maaaan I'm like REALLY ? On a Sunday nite ? In the middle of Hollywood Blvd ? A million tourists ...WITH CAMERAS ? REALLY ? It was more of a "U got any weapons or warrants; u on probation or parole" stop ! Kz he didn't even give me a ticket. Hell, he didn't even see any of my paperwork ! Registration, insurance...oh, IT WAS SHO-NUFF some bullshit !

It's simple why someone told him not to sue. First, most likely he will lose because the system is corrupt. Second, the media will make him out to be more of a thug than they already did. Third, he will get harassed 10 times more by any cop that sees him from that point on because they will definitely be petty about it. He's not just any regular guy. He wouldn't just lose the case, he'd pay a much steeper price because he's much easier to find and he's a bigger catch than a regular person.
