Has anyone picked up on the way that they protect eachother? Seriously? They totally have eachothers back.

Trey really is the emotional and sensitive of the pair, isn't he? You wouldn't get it from watching their roles in the show but Matt is a lot less tense and more deadpan in real life. I think it's a good complement, Trey is the more creative and adaptable while Matt is a rock with a strong stance.

Matt was described as ruthless in his satire by the executive producer of South Park, while Trey was described as someone who tries to see the humour in all things and is more lighthearted. Also, in the 6 Days to Air documentary, Matt seemed like much more of a hardass in interviews and would go head to head with interviewers.

That's a good assessment, I'd modify it slightly to say that Matt is the satirical minded (taking a target to pieces) and Trey's the entertainer (sheds a light). What they produce together is excellent comedy.

THIS is why South Park and all the characters are still relevant and lovable! Because Trey and Matt are still...!

I agree with Trey, the cartman-butters episodes are always the best.

The thing I respect most about Matt and Trey is their moral compass has never wavered. At the end of the day, they’re just Colorado guys making good art.

I wonder if Matt even knows how good looking he is...

I didn't know when they recorded their voices that they were talking directly to eachother. That's probably what makes the show so good. They allow for those in depth conversations that set up the jokes so well and give the show a lot of meaning

True animators. They have the minds in writing, music, direction, acting, and art and I always liked that never got into politics. It's bringing back animation to it's pure form which is comedy, not propaganda.

I would love to watch a Trey and Matt niche-as-all-hell piss take of some technical topic they have to deal with in their life like video editting software or meetings with executives. It would be funny and more educational than actual learning.

Trey is such a wholesome guy.

Glad they brought up the Lord of the Rings episode as one that's their type of favorite. Right next to the World of Warcraft one it's one their best spoofs. It never came up during those fan favorite marathons they did. Probably one of the earlier episodes of what the modern Randy came from.

No, they came up with Towelie when they were at a lake during the summer break. And they were there with a few other people, I think some of the writers like Kyle and Adrien, and every time they went out the people were like "don't forget to bring a towel!".
