Matrix APU - Animation rig breakdown
A quick overview of my rig for the Matrix APU. Please excuse the bad frame rates.
This obviously isn't the best rig in the world but it was my first rig in Blender for something this complicated.
If you're wondering why the cables and ammo belts aren't following the bones, it's because they are a baked in simulations. I would have liked to have made the ammo move along the belts as the guns were firing but I couldn't find a way to animate it on top of having the physics simulated.

Amazing work! For a project of mine I'm trying to rig something similar to your bullet chains. Think you could explain how it is rigged?

Thanks! I actually tried to explain it to someone here, if you check the comments on my video kzread.info/dash/bejne/anyVyaqRnbTLnMo.html (Cyberpunk City Relaxing Rain) you'll see it. As I said in the comment it's a bit difficult to explain it in a way that you can follow but hopefully it might help. If I get time I might try and upload a breakdown video of it at some point.

I found this channel a few days ago. They had a good attempt at making the battle scene but it looks like they gave up. It's probably the closest we will get for now though. I think you can download it. kzread.info/dash/bejne/qKNlltGDd7LMo6Q.html
