Despite how minimalist the performance is (no elaborate sets, costumes, GM or even De Grieux), this is genuinely my favourite of this variation online. I saw Natalia Osipova danced this live which is truly something else. but this one is really good. Even veterans like Tamara Rojo, Aurelie Dupont can't quite capture the subtlety of this variation

Tamara Rojo is a queen, come on...

That was fantastic! She has the ability to make the steps look spontaneous and natural and yet graceful and musical. I've found some ballerinas to be kind of mechanical and mannered in this solo. But I like her performance here more then any of the other versions I've seen online, including some from some very big names indeed! Is it possible to see more of her in this role?

dekka cat, so do I. I'm happy that the POB didn't make her even première danseuse because she was suffering stage fright or so they say... because now she is a principal at the SF Ballet ans she seems so much more happy there! Once more they let a great ballerina go somewhere else where the grass is greener. Happy Mathilde!

This isn't during a performance, but during the annual promotion Concours of POB. There is no public besides the dancer's families, and clapping is forbiden in order to not influence the jury.
