I believe the meme is that in learning maths the symbol for multiplication changes from the cross to the point to literally nothing. The second panel is just making fun of the commutative property

Devision and Substraction is Multiplication and Addition by the respective inverse element. So the wannabe operations named devision and substraction are just simplified notations of multiplication and addition with an inverse element. I wouldt say your statement is wrong.
