He wasn't an offensive lineman. He is a defensive tackle they brought in as fullback for the last series. He was eligible to catch a pass on every play. The coach just waited until they were close enough to get him into the end zone.

Yeah he was #52 D tackle then had him as #95 fullback for that series until they threw him the ball..

They are both good but it’s very hard to beat a team twice. The losing team makes the adjustments & the team that won overanalyzes, makes too many adjustments or nooner at all. Pretty soon it’s 35 -7

If you watch the games from last week you can tell which team was coming in hungry. Bosco really should've lost last week . While Mater Dei. Looked really good against a really good team .

That Bosco td with the kid on his back tipping the ball to himself, is some serious concentration and body control. Not something you see every day in the NFL or College, never mind high school.

There's some chatter that in the 1st game SJB was stealing MD signs so MD changed theirs signs for this game.

At this point I think Mater Dei was playing possum during the first game earlier in the year. They most likely play a lot of vanilla packages and personnel cuz they figured they'll be playing them for the championship. But also a lot of times the team that wins in the regular season loses in the championship game.

It is always hard to beat the Monarchs twice in a row let alone once. Bosco was in the game until 21. Great play by arguably the two best teams in the country. The fewest mistakes along with the big plays determines the outcome.

Hell yea 100% to lose 28-0 in regular season but win state 35-7 is crazy they definitely did that on purpose knowing they will play again later on tbh I knew mater dei would win but I wasn’t thinking by 28 I thought for sure it was gonna be like one of those 24-21 type games

Yeah, it's rigged. SjB didn't beat Centennial, the refs did. They stopped Cen10 from getting ahead 2 scores while using no huddle offense. Coach knew what he was doing against a deep team like SJB... its all predetermined

Yeah right who does that?! Bosco physically dominated them. This time they used the Kahuku strategy of clogging Boscos run game (which is their strength) and making that pre-season "no star" QB beat them..because he will make mistakes (like he did at Kahuku).. Caleb Sanche was in over his head..the game was to big for him without that run game

Always prefer qwik 11 over the rest, really appreciate the angle from the bleachers and not just sideline view.

As a coach watching this game, I was rooting for both teams, and was so impressed with the talent throughout the game. Then came the trophy ceremony, and HOW Mater Dei hires that tool bag to be the head coach is beyond me. That guy still thinks he’s playing. I know that kind of coach, prototypical bad guy. I sure hope he knows his shit, or mater dei will SUCK in the near future. He’s got 1 more year of this super team, I’m willing to bet things will go downhill in 2 years

You listed the top 8 teams and after bosco the top players get cut almost in half. Meaning mater dei and bosco have twice as many studs as the next guys in line and they don’t have a super team? SoCal has had the #1 recruit in the nation 3 of the last 5 years and NONE have been on these two teams (Malachi Nelson - Los Alamitos, Korey Foreman - Corona Centennial, Kayvon Thibedeaux - Dorey/Oaks Christian)...the top CB in the State was a Garden Serra... Long Beach Poly and Gardena Serra are the top NFL producing local schools...kind of strange for them to have all the best players and NOT have all the best players right?!?

Where was this energy for MD In the regular season ? Couldve been undefeated. Oh wells . This goes to show the resiliency for Mater Dei . Kudos 👏🏽

Haven’t seen 1 snap of st John bosco all year but #12 the QB is dog water trash 😭 idk if it was the highlights but he didn’t throw 1 good ball and made horrible decisions, someone please tell me it just wasn’t his day 😂 because he couldn’t have been this bad all year !

He was literally a "no star" at the start of the year and has been on the bench fo r3 years. They lost the Kahuku game because of him..but it looked like he grew...until he turned back into Cinderella. His body language looked SCARE and "victim-like" (as a former player I know what it looks like) and couldnt hit the side of a barn on easy throws. It was actaully a good coaching job getting this far with him as QB using that running game and defense...but two FREE TDs on turnovers and Mater Dei stopping their run put the writing on the wall

Everyone saying they scored on a tackle eligible it wasn't. They were lined up in I backs and he was playing fullback. I know power football is a trick play nowadays but they just faked the 24 dive and the fullback leaked out.

Kahuku made him make mistakes too. he is not a good QB at all...he is solid as long as nothing happens, you have a run game and he can just "manage"...but once you stop that run game like Kahuku did and turn him into a passer...its over

Bosco QB was playing like the game was way too fast for him. Never adjusted. Kid looked slow getting to his drop back every time
