When I was a U.S. high school teen, I recall seeing a 600cc Matchless Spring Twin in the showroom of the dealer. With it's soothing colors and the carefully painted trim inside the rims among the spokes, it was one of the most attractive machines I'd seen, that along with the Ariel Square Four.

G11. A lovely machine Sid. Probably better than when it left the production lone. Roy

A stopping problem rather than a starting problem... a change of pace for an older motorcycle. Well done as always! I live for these little videos and I hope there's a million more to come.

So pleased to hear from you again! We're planning to film a 1958 Triumph Thunderbird on July 13th so keep your fingers crossed for good weather... Should be finished by start of August.

Glad you like it! We had a few disasters while filming so quite a bit of film and sound was lost - aargh. Fortunately we recorded more than strictly needed, which saved the day...

Simon Hadden You know what they say, better have it and not need it than need it and not have it. I didn't get the impression there was footage missing at all, so I think you're in the clear haha

Lovely! I'm looking to buy a '57 G9, was it easy to get a single seat to fit it?

Where it would be the best place to buy an older bike like that? Obviously can't afford this calibre bike, but one day maybe.

Either through the small adverts in a classic motorcycle magazine, or from a classic motorcycle dealer. You could also look at a few websites for these, such as Andy Tiernan or Car and Classic.

These older bikes are becoming more affordable as their current owners age out, or fall off the perch, so to speak.
