Match Race France 2012 - Highlights Show
Спорт
The sixth leg of the 2012 Alpari World Match Racing Tour saw Australia's Keith Swinton (AUS) Black Swan Racing arrive hot off of the back of his first ever Tour victory in Switzerland. Could he make a late charge for the podium in his first full season, with three events still to go?
Many expected the return of the youngest ever ISAF Match Racing World Champion from 2009, Adam Minoprio (NZL) to upset the status quo in France but would the Kiwi skipper be able to maintain his impressive match racing form after more than a year in offshore racing? How did he fare against the new breed of young world class skippers? All was revealed on the sparkling waters of the Mediterranean.

What boats were used in these races? They look like J80s?
If anyone wonders if sailing can be thrilling (it can be, even in light air) just fast forward to 46:41 in this Match Race France in the Alpari World Match series. The rules enable hunting (gaining a foul on the other boat, so they must do a penalty turn during the race) and more aggressive sailing than one sees anywhere else, e.g. "Rubbing is racing" especially if you are starboard, leeward, or being overtaken

A waste of champagne
Too much talking... hardly any sailing action
