Nice! Back then when I was teaching table tennis some years ago, I also liked the idea of focusing more on compund play situations instead of too specific excercises. Maybe practice games or set situations which would always end on a free play. I'd like to know your view about this, since Ive done it intuitively with no so much information in those days.

What you describe sounds like a sensible approach. As you approach the tournament you certainly want your training to look and feel like a match.
