I personally think Buzelis is going to be the best player out of this draft. Franz Wagner comparison. Matas wants to be the best player on the court and he's shown some real ability to get to the basket, finish through contact (at 190 pounds) and I believe in the jump shot long term. He's got a lot of traits that NBA teams will be looking for, so I could see him going in the top 5. I think he's being slept on right now in favor of the French guys and college guys due to March Madness. Once teams start working players out, I think he's going to be rising in people's mocks.

They don’t have a lottery pick, but he seems like an Orlando Magic type of player.

His coordination, balance and quickness are more like a 6'3" guard than a 6'10" forward. Blazers need to get him. Incredibly high ceiling

It’s crazy there’s still “analysts” and people that question if he has the athleticism and strength to play in the NBA! 😳🤔🤨🤯 What tape are they watching. He really doesn’t have any weaknesses except consistency. 6’11 with elite guard skills. Wayyyy too many monster dunks, blow bys, alley oops, and strong blocks to not be athletic lol. And he’s at least 225 minimum. So many dudes putting stuff out there and not doing their research.

They always said 6’11 but looks like the Combine measured him 6’9 barefoot. That’s 6’10 with shoes on. Split the difference lol. 38 inch vertical though…. 3rd at the combine. At 6’9-6’10. Like I said….. ATHLETIC

Agreed, and I’d definitely say Franz is athletic for his size. And Shoot if Orlando can keep Paulo and Franz together for the next 10 years they’re gonna be competing for championships. I see multiple all star games in both of their futures. People sleeping on Paulo as a possible future MVP candidate.

Spurs fan here...I like what I'm seeing in this kid but then again, I am leery because he reminds me of Luka Samanic too, who turned out to be a unmotivated quitter. But I'm sure Buzelis is not the same (I hope).

Came here after the Pistons got the 5th pick. I’m thinking he would be a really good PF for us.

Idk he could be dollar general KD or he could be Pokusevski but I guess the upside is there. I would be hesitant using a top 5 pick on him bust potential seems high if he can’t shoot at an elite level or add muscle and his frame and shot are questionable. 6-14 range probably worth the risk in this draft but maybe he shows out at the combine and goes top 5

@@isaacw6900 I see similarities forsure but Franz is much stronger and probably always will be and doesn’t necessarily need to be a strong shooter to be a star but for Matas he definitely needs to shoot from the outside at a high level to be a star imo and I’m not convinced yet he can

14 a game on under 45% with a dookie for a shot and he's considered a first rounder. That's why they're saying this a down year. This player has Weaver all over him. Perfect type of player to not fit in with a young squad with no shooters.

Wemby would set him up perfectly for easy buckets. Just needs a better shot. If Spurs get 2 picks this year i say they need to draft a shooter first, then Buzelis. He looks like he'll be a menace on defense. And San Antonio usually drafts these types of players.
