USC COMMIT Bronny James FULL 2022-23 Season Highlights

Спорт

The 6-foot-3 senior guard announced his commitment to play at USC on Saturday afternoon via Instagram. James picked USC over scholarship offers from Ohio State and Memphis. Oregon was also reportedly among one of James’ top schools.
James was selected as a McDonald’s All-American this year after averaging 14.1 points, 5.5 rebounds and 2.4 assists in 27 games. The combo guard is rated a four-star recruit on ESPN and a five-star prospect in the 247Sports.com composite rankings.
James - the eldest son of Lakers star LeBron James - has had a wild four-year high school career at Sierra Canyon. Since his freshman season, the program’s reputation combined with the star-studded last name created a circus of flashing lights, KZread videos that garnered millions of views, filled NBA arenas, and even a documentary on Amazon Prime called “Top Class”.
“First of all, congratulations to my son on his next journey, on picking a great university in USC,” LeBron James said after the Lakers defeated the Golden State Warriors in Game 3 of their second-round playoff series on Saturday night at Crypto.com Arena. “I’m proud of him. This is an incredible thing. Unless it was one of my great grandmothers or great grandfathers or someone who was way before my time, to my knowledge, this is the first one out of the James gang to go to college. Obviously, his dad didn’t go to school. His mom didn’t go to college.”
Bronny’s sophomore year was hindered by the pandemic and a knee injury that sidelined him for the entirety of the abbreviated spring season. He returned in the playoffs that spring of 2021, but just for a few games. As a junior, Bronny would play with another McDonald’s All-American in Kijani Wright, who will be a sophomore at USC next season. Led by then-senior Amari Bailey, James went on to average 8.8 points, 3.3 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 1.9 steals in 29 games.
In Bronny’s four years at Sierra Canyon, the program played in the CIF Southern Section Open Division playoffs every year, including this past season. Despite losing all three Open Division pool-play games, Bronny led the Trailblazers to the CIF State Division I SoCal Regional final (one game short of the state championship), but they fell short to Notre Dame of Sherman Oaks, led by Duke commit Caleb Foster. Notre Dame went on to win the Division I state title.

That dunk is iconic of the king James bloodline. It’s just a powerful tuck, and slam. The ability to get that high, take off from that far is what makes it.

Attacking the rim in halfcourt could be better. I think when he gets to college especially the nba he will be better at attacking the rim against a set defense in halfcourt because there is more space. Look at his Austin Reaves cuts / drives / play style. Now look at Bronny. They’re the same player. I’d take him No. 1 overall. It’s a weak class. Bronny is that dude.

Didn’t see enough of his shooting to tell if he’s a good shooter or not but he seem like a good quick athletic slasher once he starts putting on some weight he will really be able to power his way to the rim like his pops, hes quick and athletic so I feel like if he really tries and wanted to be a good defender he could but we still don’t know but yea I see bronny being a mid first round draft pick as of rn
