I got the original series Sy-Klone released in 1985 still in the packaging with the booklet in perfect condition dated 1983 and 1984 on the back. The artwork on the back brings back the 80's for me. He is rare in the packaging from the original series and he has the best features by far with his 'heroic fist-flinging tornado!

Loved the video. I do have a question for you in regards to the original 1984 figure. Did he have a hard plastic head or a soft, rubberized head? I never had a Sy-Klone back when I was a kid and I had heard some rumors that say that he had a hard head, and others that said he had a soft head, and I just needed some clarification on this.

Mine had a hard head IIRC, but some characters had variants with both, so it's possible there were both (or that I'm misremembering)

I have the original Sy-Klone still in the packaging perfect with the booklet! From 1985 in the original series! I also have Moss Man and Stinkor both from 1985 as well from the original series in the packaging both with the booklets but the top of the packaging on both is damaged. On the back of each one they are each dated twice, once each with 1983 and once each with 1984, but on the website it says that all of those particular characters were actually released in 1985.

@TheLizardmonkey since these are for adult collectors and not children the spinning feature is pointless.the previous figures had the spinning feature because they were made for kids.all that matters in this line is how they display:)

@TheWCWite '200X' is the term used by most He-Man fans/toy collectors to label the period from 2002-2004/5 when the redesigned 'MOTU' figures and vehicles were released by Mattel - it also applies to immobile "staction" figures of remaining designs (such as The Evil Horde and more novel characters like Snout Spout) never released as Mattel toys. Mattel licensed NECA to release them.

  • @TheLizardmonkey

Absolutely! These figures are brilliantly sculpted - and Mattel making its own ebay is a genius move - but there is little more than that which captures the interest or worth the extra money. NECA, for example, can produce highly detailed figures based on classic films with detailed features and props that cost just over half MOTUC figures. Mattel must be raking it in from these toys.

The only reason I would've pick up Sy-Klone is for the original action feature after seeing this I'll save my money for something worthwhile. It's funny because with most toys I hate action features but this one in particular rocks. The second version of Sy-Klone is by far the best just wish they added more articulation he would've been a must buy had the FM done him 2000x style with action feature.

Is he one of the X-men? You can probablly hollow out the torso and put a motor in it to make it spin.

The lack of a spinning feature is pretty much unforgiveable in a twenty dollar figure - and one collectors are paying twenty dollars for from the manufacturers and maybe more on the secondary market! Okay - there is articulation. However, what does that matter when the one thing that sold the figure in the 1980s and early 2000s was the spinning feature? The makers couldn't have incorporated that? We paid three to eight bucks for the spinning predecessors before - but twenty dollars for no spin?

same thing goes for Thunder Punch He-Man, it's like, are you kidding me? How is he supposed to have a "Thunder" punch with out a spring-loaded waist? Very lame, if they were true tributes to the throwbacks, they would incorporate their features. Has Ram Man been made yet? I'd like to see if he has the pop-up feature

His bio says he was Protector of the Legacy Stones, whatever they were, and that he joined the Masters after the stones were destroyed ( I'll repeat that-destroyed!) and his mission completed. Does this sound like a successful mission? Might he not be a bit of a liability? 😂😂😂 I think he joined them after he was, in fact, banished in disgrace from his position as the stones' 'ahem' protector!

@1dteyoung Well, sorry, I ain't buying that. Yes, there are adult collectors who simply want to display these figures - but they did Roboto's gears and Moss Man's fur/aroma. The Grayskull stands are available to pose the figures - the spinning feature should not have posed a problem. "We don't stop playing because we grow old - we grow old because we stop playing."
