Interesting interview, and Jack's story is typical of how you can just get lucky if your face looks 'generic' and you get picked out of a line by Dale Dye! I would be doing exactly same thing of reading all the stuff on the walls and documents on the desks if I had a chance like that. Have to say I'm not familiar with any of these young actors in Masters of the Air yet - I'm not an Elvis fan (always Beatles for me), but looking forward to seeing Austin Butler in Denis Villeneuve's new adaptation of Dune, as sci-fi is my first love (all time favourite film is still 2001: A Space Odyssey).

Jack, doing the research yourself about the hero you portrayed is such a noble thing to do. You look quite alike if I do say so myself.

I really enjoyed Manhunt,its one of the best cases for you cant really "spoil" a tv show if its well written/done even if its well known history ive seen in a long time.

Hope you appreciated Jack was translating into American for you when he referred to the rank as "loo-tenant." Or it may be part of the syndrome of us getting so much American TV and film over here that there are genuine concerns our children are growing up not learning to speak English properly! Was watching a KZread video yesterday which was a panel of actors from Gerry Anderson's 1970s British TV series Space: 1999, which had an international cast led by Americans Martin Landau and Barbara Bain (both on Mission: Impossible in the '60s), lots of Brits and an Australian, etc., all to represent the international nature of the Moonbase setting of the series. One of the panel members was a Japanese extra who got a few lines in the series, although she was struggling to speak English having come to the UK to study English literature and fell into acting by accident. She then told a story of getting a similar job in France, despite not speaking a word of French, but was assured her voice would be dubbed by a French actress. That was fine until there was a change in plan and the dubbing idea was dropped and she had to actually speak a few lines of dialogue in French, which was very difficult for her. The main complaint she got from the director was that she was speaking French with an English accent!

But how many Cilian Murphy clones is the UK going to produce? Must they all be brunette, pale, with big ears, big nose, quirky, "lads lad"-type anti-heroes? I can think of at least eight. There are two of them in this show alone.

Sometimes dogs just don't behave that's it.... stop trying to look for something that doesn't exist! Austin Butler has raised dogs his entire life and he's good with dogs! You can watch puppy interview with BuzzFeed for that

What I took from the interaction between the Dog and Austin is that the dog was no hitting his marks, meaning he was trained to do specifics things in the scene & he kept messing up or was not doing it. No matter how will trained a dog is, they are animals & sometime they just want to be playful & do what they want to do. That's why you always hear actors say, the hardest thing to act with is animals & babies, because they are unpredictable. You can clearly see that the dog had no personal issues with Austin, because at one point in the series there is scene where Austin in character picks up the dog & starts dancing with him in his arms. Actually you can see a quick view of the scene in this video at 41:20.

There is no "we", just you. And the dog might have a higher IQ than you, so yes. The dog knows more than you by default.
