Mastering Light Control with MagMod Modifiers - Part II
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
In this second video, Pye dives deeper into mastering light control and shares the importance of understanding soft vs. hard light and how to create each. He shares some great tips on using larger modifiers such as the MagBox Pro softboxes attached to ProFoto lights. After clearly demonstrating the differences between the type of light created with the different modifiers, he then shares some valuable tips on using light to add more dimension to your photographs and a technique he loves to use, stacking lights one in front of another.

Glad you enjoyed it!
I REALLY enjoyed this video. I was expecting you to add the Magbox 42”(?) as a key, but you didn’t! That little magsphere addition to the rim did a very interesting job in your setup! Gave me something to chew on, Pye! Btw, I don’t use Profoto - is it at all possible for you to mention the power of the lights you use in relation to the Godox/ Flashpoint ecosystem? (The power in this light would be close to the AD200, XPLOR600, your standard speedlight). Just an idea - understand if you can’t. Thank you for wonderful tutorials. 😊

Isn't that stacking technique awesome! Thanks for the comment.
I think your a great teacher, I have never tried placing a flash Directly in front of a modifier. Do you think we would look better if we had added a fourth and fifth light? She is amazing as well. I got to admit I got my feelings hurt last year when you were Bashing Godox but you’re right B1s are superior it’s just that Godox are affordable I have about 15 godox flashes. Please forgive me. I enjoy your videos immensely.

I think you will enjoy what is coming up in the next month. :)
If you have just w magmod what's the best distance? I keep having issues with hardness and roughness even using TTL?
I was really confused by that 3rd layer you added. Are there any chances we can get a deeper explanation about it? Because I couldn't understand what changes that third light brought to the composition.
will the profoto speed ring work with an A1?
Did our leave profoto?
