I thought that's how everyone hides their ends. I'm 60 and I've been hiding my ends in this way since I was 10 😊

I really like this idea! I hadn’t seen that before with the granny square but super helpful. Because yes.. granny squares are the worst for having so many loose ends! I like this method! 😁 I just found your channel too! I’ve been interested in micro crochet for a while now. This will motivate me to finally try it! 😁 Thank you ❤

My love for granny squares is matched by my dislike for weaving the ends. too - happy (micro)crocheting!

I've been doing something similar to this for quite a while. But I don't crochet over then quite so far. Technically, with many of my projects, they're circles that are folded over and sewn shut into half circles, but they also won't get any tension on them ever, since I make earrings.

Oh yes, I love working on projects (like pillows) where I don’t have to worry about hiding the ends completely (and perfectly)

@@missxade I still trim the ends neatly even though I don't need to-- I'm too much of a perfectionist!!

I am familiar with crocheting over your ends, but what do you do in a pattern in which you are skipping stitches and instead chaining above those stitches because you will be working into that chained space in the next row? If you have changed colors, the different-colored end stretched over the skipped stitches is too obvious. Thanks! (P.S. Some great tips in this video.)

In cases like this, if the gaps are more than one or two stitches, you either have to be very strategic with your color choices and when you change them, or you just have to take the ends and weave them in with a needle (or your crochet hook). Sometimes, if a pattern allows, I will crochet the end together with one of the stitches before the gap for extra security.
