    Hey brother, I’m 60 years old & have never fished a tourney trail of any kind until now. I’ve hooked up with a solo deal this year. I appreciate your videos & they have taught me so much. I keep an Apex jig & an Ace jig tied on most of the time & do well with them. I didn’t know how to skip but I now can without blowing up my reel (too much). You have helped put so much fun back into my favorite hobby. God bless & keep up the good work!

    I have new boat and fish Harding. Last 5 years I have been a kayak fisherman. So mostly did the rivers. I appreciate your videos and watch regularly. Keep up the good work Kyle. I parked next to you at the ramp the other day. Was hoping to see you and shake your hand. Maybe one day. Good luck this season. Go get um Kyle. Im still not good with my forward facing sonar and stuff but love the power poles and being able to get out on all the lakes. Fishing is fun no matter what. Robbie Ray, Opelika Alabama

    The jigs you fished in the thick cover / lay-downs are impressive! You made several casts that I'd never make and the jigs came through it without a problem. Truly, I need to start fishing these baits in that thick stuff!! THANKS for sharing!! BTW: I've got you on my FF Team at Harris Chain, so good luck!!!

    Really like watching your videos where you just go out and fish down the bank without the ffs! I’m starting to fish a jig and trying to learn all I can about it. I’m gonna order some of your jigs but not sure which one I should start out trying. I pretty much just fish down the bank around lay downs and some docks. Every now and then it will be some open water so I guess I’m looking for the best all around jig to start with? Thanks and keep up the good work!

    That clean up craw is the best craw trailer I’ve ever used. I’ve been smashing them on it lately and I don’t know what it is about that particular craw. I bought a few of your Ace jigs and did pretty good on Donk but that hook isn’t stout enough for Florida lakes I’m nervous it’s gonna bend out. Love the skirt, the head and line tie but wish you had a beefier hook in it hint hint

  • @KyleWelcher

    @KyleWelcher

    It’s definitely not a hook for braid. I’ve caught some giants on it but I use flouro so it doesn’t bend.

    flipping a jig is all i have done in the last thirty years. my buddies give me shit about getting to close to the cover but when the water is dirty and the wind is ripping i move in and my presentation is better and it doesn't spook the fish. i flipped an uncle josh spring lizzard for years but now mainly use the big zoom salty chunk or a bandito bug. i am fixing to order some clean up craws and a couple magdrafts

    He’s probably casting that way because he’s facing left towards the bank. When I face right towards the bank I usually cast left. I’m pretty sure all these guys learn to cast every which way for whatever they’re around

    For me, it’s because when I started throwing a baitcaster 1988 I couldn’t find a lefty reel. I flip with my left hand because of the bite on the fall. Pitching I have the reel back in my left hand while the lure is still in the air. I’m not sure while people make such a big deal about it.? To me it falls in the “worry about you” category. 👽

    Left handed reel is not necessarily the answer. What I did was learned how to pitch left handed. Cast and pitch. Now I’m better and stronger lefty when pitching. Wish I was as good with my right now.
