The way you do it at 1:45 wouldn't work, but you're faking it to make a point. If you wanted to, you COULD make it work. Bong saos are helpful in a fight, especially if you need to move back and block a strike coming from the same side as your lead arm is.

This guy is funny... If you are doing the move in @1:42 that DID work but it's called "Wrong Bong Sao" because you used it on the wrong gate and now are vulnerable to his other hand... LOL The Kuen Kuit informs us as follows, "Wrong Bong Sao you must kick," So you convert to double lop sao, pull him down with power, close the gate and kick... LOL There is nothing "wrong" with using Bong Sao and Wu sao in a real situation, simply because it CAN happen, and you TRAINED IT IN THE LOP SAO DRILL... and shit is what happens in a fight ... especially shit you trained... LOL Bong and Wu sao is a form of kwan sao and is 100% legit, the question is what you do with it.... This guy needs a lot more instruction TBH...
