Best tutorial ever finally found a good teacher😂. Here is my question, while holding the jockey does it mean i dint need to hold the tackle button? I notice from your game play, holding the L2 button alone tackles your opponent. How i have been doing it all the while is the jockey then box button. Which often time i get the timing wrong and i concede goals a lot. Thank you for this great video

Hold Jockey (L2/LT) and Sprint button (R2/RT) at the same time. Don't ever use L2 by itself. You control the speed at which you sprint jockey by how much you press a direction with the left-stick. This is VERY important. In fact this is the most important defending aspect of FIFA games. If you learn this method you almost never need to use a standing tackle. Still, it's important to learn the very rare occasions you can use a Standing Tackle and a hard sliding tackle (R1 + lobbed pass button, usually Square). Just don't use L2 on its own, it's god-awful.

These clips are great but they dont help me. Feel I need someone sitting next to me for a few games and correcting me would be the way to get better.

Even with a lengthy 30-minute tutorial you're missing the most important aspect of defending - how to properly control the speed of sprint jockey. The L2-only method is very ineffective. Lots of useful info otherwise, though. Absolutely hated the AI voice over. While I understand why it might be the only option in certain situations when creating this video it was, the AI voice, absolutely grating with how long the tutorial was.
