They turned out well mate. Great shout out for Loki's Great Hall channel 👍I also recommend the Javier Gomez book, "Painting Wargame Figures", it has a very useful chapter on horses. I think there will be more horses in your future 🙂

The Germans relied heavily on horses throughout the Second World War. This tutorial is very valuable. I still have some Cossacks and a limber or two to paint. I have a video to reference now. Thank you.

Looking good only one issue. The square thing underneath the saddle is a blanket and therefore would be a greenish grey color.

Very cool & useful, always good to see sound methods for addressing the strange fear some folks seem to have of painting horses. Not one I share for me horses are some of the most fun things to paint

just use oils. quicker and more variation. can base coat in different color acrylics and then oils on top. wipe the oil down where you want highlights.

Yeah, I think I'd probably just airbrush them next time but not everyone has access to an airbrush hence the paint job 😅 I'll definitely look at giving your idea a go next time!

What colour did you use for the limber itself?

Great question mate! I think from memory it was Tamiya XF-63 German Grey (airbrush) and then dry brushed with London Grey. It's been a while so I hope this helps lol.
