Hi can anyone help enlighten a confused Canadian? I have been accepted into a PGCert at KCL instead of the Masters which I had applied for. What would be the reason for that? I had asked but they gave me the run around and is not being transparent. They did say I can request an upgrade after the PGCert to Masters. And the enrolment brochures also stated I can transfer into the next diploma once I finish the cert. But I just don’t know what these paths entail. Help?

I have completed my General Nursing and Midwifery Diploma in nursing from my home country which is a 3.5 years course. I was registered in my home council and holds 2 years of work experience there. I have cleared ielts, CBT, OSCE and is now working as a band 5 nurse in NHS trust on work visa.I would like to know if i am eliglible for Masters in nursing part time course. And if i can also work as a band 5 nurse whilst i study my part time Masters in nursing.

Whilst it’s true that having more research experience will of course help you, you need a PhD to lecture at uni regardless - during and after which you will do plenty of research. Therefore I’d just do the masters that most interests you / leads into a relevant PhD.

i haven't even started my undergrad degree (starting this september) but i was wondering if we still need to take the ielts test if we're not from the uk but we've studied our undergraduate degree there.

readbymarta thanks for your question! If you finish your undergraduate degree in the UK, you don’t need to do IELTS when you apply for a master’s course, your degree will be considered as evidence of your English abilities :) btw which uni are you starting at??

What is difference between Master degree, Master degree with advance practice and Master with placement year? Which International students prefer master degree that help for their careers?

i wanted to know to get into a uk university is it required to give the GRE exam like do even a few colleges ask for gre scores?

Postgraduate course is any course after your bachelors/undergraduate degree. So all masters, mba, PhD course are postgraduate courses, in terms of university recommendation there is no simple answer, as a lot of things need to be considered (your budget, grades, scholarship need, career plans, etc)....

Main factor is usually outstanding grades... also things like citizenship, your course, your talents and financial hardship could be considered.

technology is in demand, but there is not statistics for particular courses. no matter what you have studied and at which university, you will need to put an effort into finding a job. The second part of your comment I did not understand, could you please clarify your question?
