Ha! I feel the same way. In dance class, I went across the floor and my dance teacher said okay y'all are going to do a double instead of one and I looked at her like yeah right. So when I went to do it I got the double but I closed my eyes!🤣😆╰(*°▽°*)╯

pirouettes are probably my worst area in dance. also my arch, for some reason i’m really flexible everywhere else but i’m making NO progress in my arch in my back :( could you make a video about that? it would be really helpful!

my pirouettes are the worse but for some reason i can almost do fouettés correctly lol but i’m getting there for my back arch all i do is do a standing backbend, hold it, then bring myself back up. it’s helped me a lot and if that doesn’t work, alivia might have a lot of good exercises

can't even do a clean triple, although I started dance last year so that isn't bad and I only practice 2 times a week 5 hours

Okay so i am 15 and i like just started dance and i am one of the only guys at my company. i love your videos they are super helpful, and you seem like a very good instructor. I was wondering if i could like fly out there for like private lessons or something? I know that sounds crazy but like, I am serious. You are an amazing teacher!

This is going to be so helpful 😍 a resolution for this year is to get good consistent triples on flat and on pointe! Could you possibly do a tutorial for pirouettes to open positions (eg to attitude or arabesque)? I always either over turn or 'shunt' the landing! Love you and thank you xx

I want to thank Claudia Dean World for helping me learn I am in Grade 4 in ballet(and also in school) and I not very good at pirouettes. But this video helped me when I was practising my pirouettes. I've been working on my "one-footed spins" for West Coast Swing and this video appeared on KZread when I searched for "pirouette progressions." These tips are phenomenal!!! It's been a long time since I've done ballet, but even a novice dancer like me could understand and apply these tips. I can do controlled "one-footed spins" now! Thank you so much, and I enjoy watching your channel :)

Girl YAS! Thank you for breaking down pirouettes like this and explaining it to people. I do private lessons very similar to this but I LOVE that you are sharing your knowledge with the world. There are so many teachers out there that can better themselves simply by going online and learning from other teachers. A+ and keep doing what you’re doing!

I was a world champion freestyle skateboarder and in the routines I would spin one footers avg.20 spin rotations. The shoulder, lats , and axis center geometry is pretty similar!I love how you break down the different positions.

Hi Claudia, thanks for this video! I have been looking for something like this for a while. Having watched it, I think your tip on keeping the hips in line is where I have been going wrong. I am only working towards single pirouettes but am finding them so hard! I came back to dancing aged 30 and am taking my Grade 6 this year. X

I'm not a fan of the theraband one - due to pressure on knee caps and somewhat of a "hog-tied" effect that might not be advantageous should the dancer fall. I did love the stabilization ideas for the back, and the landing technique.
