Thinking out loud about art: Here's some of my thoughts about negative space. They are meant for people who are already on their art journey, and like thinking deeply about technique. If that's not you, your mileage may vary.
As with all other opinions on art, take everything with a grain of salt. I'm just trying to express my what I've learned through a lifetime of making art. I encourage you to do the same, so we all can learn from each other.

THE TOOLS I USE:
All these tools are things I use myself. That being said, there’s so many great brands, big and small, that produce amazing alternatives, and you can also get them from other stores than Amazon. However, if you use the affiliate links below, I get a small cut.

Yoshikazu yasuhiko is one of my fave manga artists and I think it’s cause of his use of negative space
How tf do you just put down shapes without making it look terrible? I tried doing that, starting with the eye and working from there and i just wanted to eat uranium cause i can't get it to work

@@DenUngeHerrHolm yeah but i find it so hard to even begin, i can't place a shape without feeling anxiety or wanting to erase it, tho your way of just scribbling and then drawing something out of the scribble does make it easier
