It’s another beautiful day if you still can’t make rice well today I’m going to share with you how to master MEXICAN RICE using a new method I learned in culinary school! PRO TIP!!!!
✅make sure your rice is fully fried before adding the broth
✅pick the biggest and ripest tomatoes
✅washing rice is not necessary yet if you decide to rinse it make sure is fully dried before frying, when I do this I always rinse a couple hours before to make sure it’s fully dry by time i get ready to use it
✅I forgot to mention but make sure your pan is oven safe
Ingredients: 8 servings
2 cups long grain rice
3 large roma tomatoes
1/4 onion
1 garlic clove
1/2 tsp ground cumin
2 tsp chicken bouillon
2 tsp tomato bouillon
Salt I used 1 tsp
Cilantro and jalapeños are optional you can also use vegetables
2 cups water
1 serving of love💕

There is a guy who also uploads cooking videos and has a Mexican rice recipe that is easier, faster and just as good. That is the one I prefer. The rice comes out restaurant style. He doesn't bake it, which means there are less dishes to wash😊He does everything the old fashion Mexican style. Just like grandma taught us. L👀k at his videos and try his recipe. His channel is cook like a pro".
Hola Claudia. I can make any Mexican dish there is. From tacos to enchiladas to chile rellenos, but I have always had trouble with rice to the point I get my wife, named like you Claudia, to make rice all the time. I tried this style of making it in the oven. Damn it lady! The rice came out so good. I made a ground beef chile colorado enchilada casserole to go with the rice. My wife had three little cups of the rice before I could finish with the casserole. She said it was the best. I used a cast iron skillet and workout just perfect. I wouldn’t change a thing on this recipe. Gracias y saludos!
I always watched my mom cook because she wouldn’t let me help …. Right now she’s in the hospital and your recipes really help! Ty! My dad wouldn’t eat my moms albondigas but when I made yours he loved them! He’s in heaven now but I’m so glad I cooked for him 😊
I had no idea you attended culinary school. Thats what i wanted to do when I was younger because I've always enjoyed cooking 💜

Nobody did because she has always credited her culinary experience being something she learned from her grandmother and didn't update people when she enrolled in school recently apparently. Lol

I went to culinary school and it’s a catch twenty two tbh. If you wanna learn how to cook just go on KZread and practice. Culinary school is for the technical skills

Thanks to many methods of cooking mexican rice on youtube, including yours, I was able to recreate my abuela's rice recipe. She passed away 25 years ago and took me 20 years of trial and error to get the exact flavor she would make for us everyday. No other rice from other families would ever hit the flavors, texture and warmth like she did. And she was from the pueblitos of northern Tamaulipas, she did no such things as measurements, all by feeling, taste and eye balling.

I recommend that you type "Cook Like A Pro". This guy also loads cooking videos. His recipe comes out restaurant style. It is easier, faster and does everything on the stove top like traditional Mexican moms and grand moms do it. No baking which means that you have less dishes to wash. Tryn it. You won't regret it.

Arroz Con Pollo: add chopped carrots to onions & rice. Add fresh peas & shredded chicken before putting in oven. When using fresh chicken: I braise chicken BRIEFLY with the rice, once rice is coated with oil to lock in juices. Thank you, Claudia!❤😋😋

Arroz con pollo! A staple dish that I make almost every month! What I do, is use skin-on, bone-in chicken thighs… I fry them skin side down. Then I remove them and brown the rice in the chicken fat and fond that has built-up on the surface. When the rice has browned, I add the thighs back in along with the seasoned tomato broth, cover with a heavy lid and bake for 20 mins at 375° then remove and allow it to finish off the heat for 10 min.
This recipe is the real deal. I was never fully happy with the way my Mexican rice came out. But this way, it comes out perfect. Thank you so much Claudia!! ❤

You want the real deal? You want to see and learn how traditional Mexican rice cooked on a stove top looks like? Then I recommend that you type "Cook Like A Pro". and watch this guy's Mexican rice recipe. He does everything on the stove top like it should be. He doesn't use extra pot and pans to put in the oven, which means less lishes to wash. His recipe is just as good, if not better, easier and faster. Try his recipe, you won't regret it.

I have looked and looked for a recipe AUTHENTIC Spanish rice and beans and even though I have yet to make one of your dishes step by step, as this is my first time watching your video, I must say I’m sure when I go to make this, it’s going to taste the best. After making rice awhile now,I had only recently learned about using the tomato bouillon also. Makes sense to me. I had never seen it finished in the oven though. I will definitely try this. I just saved this so I can get your book! Good food served with family and good friends is still the best!

My uncle that would sell Mexican food made rice extremely similar, but he also had some secret Achiote Paste recipe to make the rice come out so much more orange/red and adding some more earthy undertone to the rice. Your recipe is amazing.
