I would love to have met Menuhin! What a warm and humble man, with such great talent. A real genius and a mensch!

+HaFannyHa Not such a "mensch" according to his children: a very complicated, remote person, whose emotional attachment to mankind far exceeded his emotional response to individuals, including his wife and children.

Menuhin--too bright, too deep, too caring for his own good. Greatest violin talent of the 20th century.

Sir Yehudi Menuhin's great. Too bad he is gone, the world has become poorer.

Please do not crucify me for what I'm gonna say, it's just the impression I have: Menuhin seems to be that guy who doesn't need to practice too much, he just grabs the violin and pours music and talent. 15:52 - "I told him, I could see that coming"

Yes, there seems to be some people who don't really practice, at least not deconstructed elements, scales and exercises. Their brains just know what to do.
