I love how canonically speaking Master Chief mostly likely read this book as a part of his Spartan training.

Considering they canonically were trained in the history ancient Greek warfare (albeit a history clearly taken from Victor Davis Hansen's 40-year-outdated and also straight up wrong to begin with model of "The Western Way of War"), it's more likely they were given the old Roman and Byzantine military manuals (which are *far more extensive* than "The Art of War") to read. Asclepiodotus, Vegetius, and the Strategikon of Maurice were the real staple of ancient, medieval, and renaissance military thought. Vegetius and the Strategikon were required reading for British and American officers into the 1930s.

Applying the 'Foraging on the enemy' to modern warfare; perhaps a necessity for a forward command base is a munitions recycling depot, to take gunpowder and explosives from captured enemy munitions and use them in your own spent cartridges, that as well as a supply redistribution center to take captured supplies where they're needed

Can we get a continuation of the Art of War read by the Master Chief? This was a great and very engaging listen! Edit: It turns out that the Art of War is much shorter than I thought. This video is the entirety of the Art of War. Also, since posting this comment originally, I listened to the Audible version read by a real human and I found myself preferring this version more!
