Master Bathroom Demo Day!
I'm turning our former master bedroom into a master bathroom. This huge project started off with demo day, and my family got in on the fun. My mom (Jean), sister (Cathy), bonus sister (Cathi), and two nieces (Yaleana and Alexis) got here bright and early on Saturday, January 25th, so that we could get started working at about 8:30am.
We worked so hard removing the polystyrene tiles, 1 x 4s, and drywall from the ceiling, the drywall and shiplap (1 x 10s) from the walls, and part of the hardwood floor before my brother (Rod) showed up with lunch for us. After lunch, he stayed and helped with the remainder of the demolition, when we removed the hardwood flooring and subfloor.
It was a very productive day! Now this room is down to ceiling joists, wall studs, and floor joists, and is ready to be rebuilt as our new master bathroom.

If only things could go this fast! Awesome to see the beginning of this.
I hope you do more videos! The floral wall in the guest room is FABULOUS!!!!
Well you had a squad of ferocious women attack that room! Plus Rod after lunch. You got so much done AND all trash cleared out also. Yay. So glad you have help for this.
Thank you for uploading this video. I was contemplating signing up for Instagram because I wanted to see your updates. A LOT accomplished! Exciting.

Oh, wow! Will you be rebuilding it yourself? Hiring it out? Part DIY and part hiring out? Have fun!

@@KristiLinauer We're doing it ourselves - no rewiring needed and hiring out the plumbing. Thanks :).
Subtitle: Chipmunk ladies demolish a house! ha! Fun video, Kristi! Thanks for posting! Very excited to see the bathroom come together.
Are you going to return? I was revisiting your blog and realized you haven't updated in a long time.
Do you have a video for the raised stained bed?
That made my arms hurt and feel like jello. lol I've done that kind of demo before. I don't think I could leave the underneath exposed like that. lol That would give me the willies. How did you contain the dust from leaving that area? Great job!
