I am a massive Renegades fan but All Stars were clear winners this year. Smooth's complex pan runs are a trademark and he used them well this year to add life to the performance.

If memory serves me correctly, all stars have performed some of the most memorable and entertaining performances of panorama’s history. Now I would agree that the results were sometimes surprising but the memories can’t be erased. Thanks again Smooth for another memorable milestone. Pan lover forever and grateful.

All Stars were the outright winner in my opinion. Their performance and execution was second to none. Good to see the lady playing tenor by dane back, they have such great chemistry together.

The lady between Dane Gulston and Clive Telemaque is Nalo Sampson, I follow Panorama every year from UK and love it. All Stars are my favourite band but I love all pan music. It's so joyous. Regards from the county of Devon, England.

​@@lorrainewilson1148Yes that guy that was next to her was also very animated and thoroughly enjoying himself. I believe he had a twin brother who was about 4 down from him to his right in the prelims and the semis. But they may have been in the 2nd row for the finals.

The skilled young lady wearing stilettos (tenor section) brings an element of femininity to the artform that I truly appreciate! The dance with her colleague at 5:48 further adds to my appreciation. This performance was delightful to all six senses (ah doh know bout de sense ah smell 😆.) A truly remarkable performance 👏🏿

High energy, sounds real good but at times confusing. Nothing to go along with but the fact that they're allstars. Don't get me wrong now, their performance was excellent but they didn't play nothing that we have never heard before, same rifts, phrases and emerges other songs in between. I felt like Renegades had more articulated a better version of their song, new styles and approaches with great rythm. But it is what it is.

Band vs band on that night All Stars was the better since they feed off each other energy and All Star fed last between the two .

You judges knew all stars won God will judge you I can't stop crying I was watching from brooklyn

You're correct, 11 wins , 10 being Leon Smooth Edwards, with Rudy Wells being the other winner in 1973 with Rain O Rama .

There is no “tie” for first, you’re either first or not, and clearly All Stars were top of the tops!

Long-time All Stars supporter and pan player from London, who was at the Finals in PoS. Dane and Nalo on tenor have great chemistry between them, and their lil dances (4:01 and 5:48) were cute. All Stars should've won outright. BP sponsors both the Panorama contest and also Renegades, so go figure!

Wonderful Indeed My Winners from the start

Congratulations All Stars! I just realised an interesting fact - In all my years of Panorama, it has NEVER EVER happened that All Stars was 'given' a win that they did not earn. There was never a year when another band clearly played better but All Stars were awarded the title. Renegades, Desperadoes, Exodus, Silver Stars, Phase 2, all have been 'given' victories that they had absolutely NO right or business receiving. Usually aside from the fans of those band and the judges, the majority of the people were in total disagreement with the results. Ironically, it was usually at the expense of an All Stars victory. History has it that the judges seems to do their best to find some band to put in front of All Stars. It is no wonder that All Stars would usually win People's Choice and their performance would be played the most on the radio stations throughout the year. So if there are those who think differently, well now you know how All Stars and their fans have felt since 1982. Congrats All Stars.

I remember a few years back Fonclaire was rob. They played an arrangement by d professor KP (PAN BY STORM)to lose by half a point to the pan side that placed last in this year event 😮

you see why things do not go good in Trinidad you see why they say Trinidad in the top 20 it have no doubt Norway in hell that Renegades share the first place with all stars it is very clear to see that all stars wind up at by a mile all supporters from different band and even the spectators everyone say all stars is the champion these judges get paid off

I am a despers fan and from the preliminary round I told my husband all stars will win for the last two years they fool a band and give them first in d preliminaries and then renegades all the way is twice they do exodus that put them first in preliminaries and after that they place them low

They really need to check these judges every year to see who pull ah weed before judging One winner that's it All Starts

All Stars were the clear 2024 Panorama Champions, no tie in this at all, Renegades and their Fans know this.

In the old days adjudicators were brought in from England for the steelband festival. Maybe we should revisit that method of deciding winners and loosers for panorama. This was like the judges not wanting to offend one band or the other. It's like judging elementary school children where everyone's a winner so no one would go away crying. In a competition someone wins and some looses and we move on. Get judges with no skin in the game.

You got this so wrong. Our judges are very capable and are doing an excellent job. In an exam if two students make the same amount of marks what do you do? Not tie them

Class is Class, there is no way that this was a tie, what the Judges listened to is beyond me, All Stars were in a Class all by themselves, BP Renegades did not play well enough to be at the top with such distinguished performance as the one by All Stars, maybe the Judges liked the antics by BP's conductor and did not hear or were blinded by all the antics on stage. Anyway this is Trinidad & Tobago, nothing is done in all fairness, hats off to All Stars They deserve better , maybe next time.

BP could not sponsor the panorama and renegades do not win. After that performance of All Stars they could not put them anywhere else but 1st. All Stars cannot beat Renegades in a panorama their sponsor contributed to. The pan mafia strikes. AllStars beat the clothes off Renegades coming and going.

My sentiments exactly, They just wanted to give, Renegades 3 but was ashamed so they disguised the tie to say well they didn’t win outright it was a tie. That robbed the true winners of their thunder which they truly deserved. Amazing…….i listened to both bans and will do so again, both pieces were expertly arranged, but the clarity, skill and overall performance, especially motivic development should have given Allstars the 2 extra points……. Well we all know but now how these judges sometimes operate.😊

IF THEY COULD HAVE USED THEIR SKILL AND TALENT TO GLORIFY GOD, HOW GREAT IT WOULD HAVE BEEN.

Renegade was more defined and articulate with various skits. All stars was very good but we've heard those skits from all stars before. However, the 2 bands bought the right energy to a competition and that's what creates the hype to win.

Go back listen to both performances and tell which band we're more clear. Allstars were clean and crisp throughout.
