Massive U.S. dollar dump? BRICS to launch new currency causing tsunami of inflation - Andy Schectman

Andy Schectman, President and Owner of Miles Franklin, discusses his thesis that the world is poised for a monetary reset which would result in the BRICS having their own reserve currency, likely backed by gold, and how this goes hand-in-hand with de-dollarization trends that are currently unfolding. He tells Michelle Makori, Editor-in-Chief and Lead Anchor at Kitco News, how a 'tsunami of inflation' would ensue as dollars are repatriated to the United States, which would cause a corresponding 'crash' in asset prices as interest rates rise accordingly.

BRICS wants to build a new currency. It is also worth noting that gold has historically been used as a store of value and a means of exchange, and some countries still hold significant amounts of gold in their reserves. However, it is unclear how a new currency backed by gold would function in the current global financial system and whether it would gain widespread acceptance. Ultimately, any decision to create a new currency would be subiect to numerous economic, political, and logistical considerations.

It's interesting to learn more about the discussions and proposals around BRICS nations and their potential use of gold. There are several reasons why people may choose to buy gold, including its historical use as a store of value and means of exchange, its potential as a hedge against inflation or currency devaluation, and its relative scarcity compared to other commodities. Additionally, gold can offer diversification benefits to investment portfolios, as it tends to have a low correlation with other asset classes like stocks and bonds. However, it's important to note that investing in gold carries risks and may not be suitable for evervone. and investors should carefully consider their investment objectives, risk tolerance, and financial situation before making any decisions.

US has started to accept that dedollarization is inevitable, they know the impact on US and western economies are huge. Western economists and intellectuals need to come out with plans to not only reduce the blow of this but also convert this into an opportunity. They have to unlearn the old ways and learn the new and do the best they do which is innovation. All of this should be done in a legitimate way and not with the intend to con the world. Stop bullying as they have lost that power, developing world see them as who they really are.

The point is, it is barely possible that politicians of the US would agree to give up its "privilege" to weaponize dollars, and it is also impossible for the most of countries that would give in especially now they have a more trustworthy partner, China that, seems to be able to survive from all kinds of sanctions and bans from the US, and even fight back, so dedollarization is inevitable and also unfixable.

This is one of the first dominos to fall... It's coming folks... Edit: Several other countries have either applied or expressed interest to join BRICS including Argentina, Indonesia, Algeria, Iran, Afghanistan, Thailand,Turkey, Nigeria, Senegal, Nicaragua, Kazakhstan, Saudi Arabia , UAE and more... It won't be long until nearly HALF THE WORLD'S POPULATION is part of the BRICS Nations.... At that point, it's going to be a BRICS vs NATO world...

This by far the best interview I have ever heard about BRICS and the future of money. Learned a lot, and the way it was conducted was absolutely brilliant by Michelle. As en European, and after the Covid response, I am worried about CBDCs and the way they can be programmed to control our spending, and I am worried about the collapse of our economies if the dollar falls, which would result in massive inflation and increased poverty for the general population. We live in interesting times, and I hope We The People can rise above it.

Dollar will never collapse. Dollar may weaken, but that's not collapse. First dictatorships need to stop hoarding dollars, thats impossible. Russian and Chinese oligarchs convert their valuables to dollar and even if they fully stop, it won't make dollar to collapse. If BRICS stop using dollar 100% (and that's impossible btw) dollar would still survive it.

When the world saw that United States could block the SWIFT, freeze other nations assets freely, the world has no alternatives but to repatriate their assets such as gold back to their own country. I believe that this trend will continue and a new gold trading system would eventually evolved. Dumping of USD should be viewed more objectively. Part of this was changing into other forms of assets or currencies. But part also reflects that a lot of nations need to use their USD to face the difficulties caused by the war, inflation and covid.

The future is a Bitcoin standard for the world. CBDCs never work because they solve nothing, just accelerates inflation and the dollars demise. Likely a CBDC results in hyperinflation burning the system down immediately because it starts a panic by the broader public. Just like Nigeria is experiencing with their eNeera CBDC. People will try gold, silver, and magic money but Bitcoin wins by the fact is preserves value 10X better. It crushes by network effect.

I've heard that this Is a great time to buy. But now that inflation is at an all time high, I have money sitting in my bank account that I would really like to use. Would it be okay if I looked up this coach you mentioned?

Thank you for this excellent interview. Wonderful insight . Change is definitely here....we in North America will be under great pressure to maintain our traditional lifestyle. This is a bleak future..

@@rohmatelevate a lot of reasons to stay in the US. Best physical place to live when you consider our resources and ability to self sustain. The only real reason to leave is because our own government is likely to become hostile towards us citizens in order to control everything and everyone to maintain the power of those people at the top. They may rather burn their own country to the ground in order to rule over the ashes than allow evolution to happen here for the greater good at the cost of their personal power and control. Control these politics and governance by the people is paramount. Otherwise yes it’s smart to leave sooner than later and go somewhere that is embracing bitcoin. They will be the lifeboats. All depends on how desperately the people in control are to remain in control.

@@jeffwackerly Unfortunately places like El Salvador are very subject to extreme corruption and violence too, and even peaceful countries can have their leaders overthrown and replaced with U.S. or other Western-backed dictators. And it is likely China will step into the same type of shoes to do the same thing in the future in their own hemisphere and Africa, too.
