What’s everybody, Bluegabe here !
In this video I take you along with myself and my oldest brother Albrey Arrington as we go spear fishing off the coast of Jupiter Florida I’m search of Trigger fish.
But once the dive is over don’t go anywhere because we then head back to my house where Robert Arrington ( Deer Meat For Dinner) and his wife Sara Arrington meet us and we cook a amazing trigger fish dish together.

    I live in south Florida and I never have the opportunity to go out a fish on anyone’s boat. I struggle with severe depression after my second boy was born in Jan. But watching your videos has seriously helped me get threw some of the toughest times lately. Thank you Blue Gabe. Hope to meet you one day! God Bless!

    growing up in Tahiti - we grilled it whole with skin and guts - when done the skin peels right off - pick off the meat and dip it in different sauces (ginger sauce/ aioli/ oyster sauce/ soy sauce) with a nice plate of white rice yum yum

    @@PastorPeewee20 no just the meat - it was the lazy way (no need to clean ) - if we did gut it out before grilling the fish, we found that the meat around the belly got overcooked and dry

    Growing up on the Outer Banks of NC.. The lighthouses were completely key to surviving all the shoals and shallows and finding home. Lots and lots of "OH THANK GOD THERE'S THE STRIPEY ONE!"

    Ive never had Trigger Fish in my life. In 6 days I'll be making Tuna Tartar for my birthday since im turning 20 on December 22nd.     Trigger fish has firm flesh like chicken. my fav is steamed in a butter sauce with onions garlic and tomato. In the islands we call them OLD WIFE and CHICKEN OF THE SEA. Nice work Blue Gabe.

    The Band of Brothers - The Arrington brothers can put together some entertaining fishing trips and the good part is they all 3 love each others company. They're in this together and it shows that they are blood. I never felt jealousy between any of them, but I'll tell you one thing, I wouldn't get any of them pissed off. I can only wish good things happening to these guy collectively in the years to come. They certainly know how to put on a show. Thanks for letting us hang out!!

    It’s crazy to me how people in SoFlo throw trigger fish back. Up here in sebastian we beg to catch trigger fish.     Throw it on the hibachi, flip it and cook it. Have your chopsticks ready along with the chili pepper water. This is how we do it in Hawaii. The main fish we did it with was Kala (unicorn fish) and Pailani.

    Yup we use to Dive & Fish here Northern Gulf of Mexico. I like it Fried it has a buttery taste to me. I have heard of people using Trigger & Sheephead Boiled for a Substitute Crab Meat...! I use to commercial fish during late 80'S through 2009. During the 1960'S Trigger were thrown back considered Trash fish by Shrimp Boats as well... !

    On the griddle, after some jalepeno poppers with kerigold butter and Everglades fish and chicken. All the ingredients including the griddle are from watching deer meat for dinner!!! It is just plain awesome!! My daughter loves it!!

    Friend of mine, Bill Watson, runs a charter boat down your way. He had some idiots on a charter one day and they pulled in a trigger fish. This guy somehow stuck his thumb in it's mouth and it bit through the nail and bone taking off the side of the tip of the guy's thumb. Sent me some very neat pictures. I'm thinkin you got a little bit lucky when they chomped on your fingers.

    We call the dish kinilaw in the Philippines! A raw fish dish in my native town here in Bindoy Negros Oriental. Dice the meat add lime and vinegar, onions, scallions, mangoes, bell pepper, chilies, and coconut milk. served cold with seaweed usually sea grapes.

    My favorite way of cooking triggerfish is cooking it on the grill because if it’s firm texture.🔥Also splash some teriyaki sauce while it’s cooking

    Local tip of the day Ft.Pierce inlet has something similar to aide in night time navigation. Line up the blinking lights on the tripods and your in the channel

    When I was13-17 we went to Panama City beach fl. We would go on party boats out of st Anderson’s or hours out it seemed, I’m not exactly sure but boy did we catch and release huge trigger fish. I’m 60 now.
