Some feedback to improve future videos: 1) Add the name of the IP to the ships' names (e.g. Battle Barge (Warhammer 40k)). 2) It felt a little inconsistent in how much time the camera stayed on each model. Maybe decide on a set amount of time and same camera movement. 3) In these types of videos, it's really, really easy for the viewer to lose all sense of perspective once you get to the bigger ships. I always thought it would be cool to maybe have your starter ship (here the X-Wing) follow the camera and do fly-bys of the other ships. Since the X-Wing is the only one that's anywhere near human size, that might make it easier to imagine just how much the big ships dwarf it.

L Wangsness Because while Star Trek ships are pretty much neutered ( they are almost never truly military ships but rather at best armed science vessels) they have the capacity to use one phaser shot (you know.... the normal weapons the fleet uses to fight normal battles with anyways) to completely glass the crust of a planet and then their torpedos do even more, granted they have to put more power into it to do that but ultimately my point still stands... plus their shields are arguably far stronger since their shields are able to withstand phaser shots (the Same that can glass a planet) plus they have AI unlike the imperium of man.... I do think the imperium wins outright since they have just outright more capacity and arguably more combat utility, we are comparing armed science vessels to the strongest ships the imperium has to offer and still the Star Trek ships get pretty close in terms of fire power.... now of course Star Trek would lose almost every battle with the imperium but I firmly believe if we were taking a fully militarized federation, that the imperium would suffer heavy losses for every battle they won until something like the armor tech from the end of Star Trek voyager is discovered in which case the imperium would start losing some battles. Also the imperium has a severe issue with technology... the tech priests are practically anti technological progression which means they stagnate just like nurgle wants while the federation would probably find a way to tune their phasers to hit void shields better and even pierce it What I’m saying simply is that the federation if given some time to militarize and advance, would start beating imperium ships on stats alone (again except for capacity as imperium ships can house enough troops to practically take a continent and move on ) Also I’m not sure about imperium ships but I know Star Trek ships (specifically the galaxy class) has a tractor beam strong enough to start effecting the orbit of moons and can cause planet wide earthquakes and start actually destroying the crust so that’s just another tool at their disposal

  • @Darknessblade4me

@@targitausrithux2320 Larger Imperial ships have multiple layered shields that can take some retarded levels of beating. Additionally they have extremly thick outer layers of armor (we´re talking dozens of metres, up to hundreds on the real big shit). Add a crew that´s ready to die if it means they drag their enemy with them (not to mention that ramming the enemy ship is a legit tactic in the fleet, hence the extra layers of armor on the front and the occassional extra void shield)... It´s gonna be tough for the confederation to actually bring imperial ships down for good.

The music is a wonderful touch as well. If you don't mind a bit of constructive criticism, for the next video you might add a note in one of the bottom corners how long each of the squares on the "table" is to better represent the scale. I also don't know what stories some of these ships are from, so a notation in parenthesis under the name of the ship would be helpful.

Hey Eck, so first I would like to say I really liked how you designed the video. For a future video could you do something for making the perfect Republic Fleet similar as to what you did when making your perfect Imperial Fleet?

If you do end up using another Warhammer 40k ship or ships, the Macragge’s Honor is a Gloriana class battleship that’s 26km long. Also, the Phalanx from the Imperial Fists chapter is incredibly powerful. Although I don’t have a size for you.

I think it's super awesome you're doing comparison videos and I can't wait to see more. I love this hologram/schematic looking art style. The only thing I would change (and this is just personal preference) is that the video stopping to spin 360 around each ship is kinda annoying, most of these type of videos have a smooth continuous transition between each object. (also I love that you got stuff from dead space in here!!!)

You have got to appreciate the time, skill and effort it creating these 3D models. Very nice.

I wish the Freespace franchise had been popular enough for cool videos like this. Some of their larger ships were beautifully designed.

I love the idea and it was beautifully executed, but please include what universe each ship is from if you do more of these. I don't recognize half of these, so I'll just assume they're all from Halo. Props for including the Event Horizon btw!
