I remember those videos too. KZread is a small world
Outstanding. Years ago, I saw a STEAM powered r/c plane. Almost silent. Entertaining video!

You guys are an inspiration to anyone who's read an instruction manual then totally ignored it.

Perfection isn’t necessary in the world of RC and not striving for it in a lot of cases leads to a lot of legitimate fun and awesome experiences in our hobby. 👍
Im new to the rc hobby, any tips for flying a 3 channel plane or anything?
Using a bigger rudder, putting in some dihedral, dispensing with the ailerons, and using an actual airfoil would have worked much better

And that awesome runway you get to fly off of!!
great seeing marymoore used like that lol
That was an interesting project! Probably without having that opened fuselage and the dragging pilot, the plane would flown ok.
Pretty cool light weight designs and the drops were fun to watch.
A massive rc plane with stol characteristics? You absolute sickos.
Seeing another massive plane would be amazing! Looking forward to that!
The massive flat square front end on the first plane would have been blocking half of the thrust.

You’d think so - but she ended up flying just fine once we upgraded the motor. Think GeeBee
Ya'll are giving me the itch to build something. I've got a bunch of cardboard from an extremeflight plane box... wonder if I could make it fly :D
I loved this video and just realized that I actually saw the giant pink foam plane in real life 😂 I fly at Marymoor to and now Brian as well!
5:20 American made
Wow!
*Russia:* Write that down!
Yes please! Who will be on cowl? Steve or Vladimyr?
It is really great that you get together and do these experiments. A great learning for all in so many areas other than aeromodelling. Thx for sharing!
Very cool 😎. So glad I've decided to learn ❤️
Impressive
Good Idea and Good job.
Go MASSIVE!!! Go 85% scale!!
I saw no attempt to put aerodynamic cross sections on any control surfaces. Naughty!

LOL. The purpose of the Zenith-inspired design plane was to prove to some folks in our local RC club that you didn't need an airfoil or other intricate engineering tasks to be met in order to make a plane fly. You're not wrong, it sure would help make it work better and last longer, but people were straight up and down saying it wouldn't fly, period. We're glad our proof of concept worked, and they ended up waving friendly white flags at us post-flight. 😁 -Zach
Phenomenal! Love the way each of your videos tells a story. Seeing Mudgy 133 fly in person was terrific! Can't wait for more!!!
Iv also come to the conclusion if you put a big enough motor on it just about anything can fly lol
How's the RC scene in Seattle? Looks like a blast!
Fantastic 👏👍
Awesome
That Last Big Plane Looked More Like A C 141, Instead Of A C-130
@TailHeavyProductions
2 жыл бұрын
The last one was named after a C-133 due to the long nose moment. The C-141 had 4 turbines whereas the C-133 had 4 turbo props. 👍
Yes! I would love to see another huge plane
I had forgotten how fun this hobby is. Thank you for reminding me. I should pick up my unfinished builds
You know the logical next step is foamy JATO
I'm bit of a amatur plane builder and I can say you guys are 20 times more successful than me
really interested in seeing the hightlander!
💣
I have the same motor
i sub bro nice
Do you need any support for the motor, esc and propeller part?

Stol please!
I WANNA SEE THAT HIGHLANDER!!!
All of you’re videos always make me laugh great job. I do have a recommendation what if you tried to make a v22 osprey that will vtol and fly it might be cool anyway great video :D
Such a small word! It's insane seeing that one of the videos that I first saw involving R/C aviation had you in it!
Other than the plane you crashed are they all still flying
Yes siiiiiiiiiir! NIIIIIIIIIIIICE! 😎👍
very cool video guys!!
100TH COMENT BABEEEEHHH!!!!!
Love this, keep it up!
was that coc-AHEM i mean pixie dust real?
Gooood
Super Awesome
I wanna see that 75% build!!!!!!
“One kilo of pıre colombian c-“
this was awesome
I have a story to tell. So a year ago my friend and i started a project exactly like this, everything was caculated but not my brain so i use a 6x4 prop for a 2m long wing span. We test fly it and the next thing we know that the motor blowed up, the battery was destroyed. What did we learned at the end of the day we are bad at making planes
@TailHeavyProductions

Sounds like a fun learning experience! You should definitely take what you learned and try and make a V2...AND film it and share it! We'd love to see it. 😁
Man it’s awesome to watch I guess I need to get on the you tube boat
im glad to find your channel, loving the content keep it up

I have a carbon cub s2 1.3 m and I am looking to up the power of the airplane. I am looking for advice on motors or prop selection. I would like it to be able to perform similar to a Timber Evolution. Thanks for any advice

@@snedhepsquadron406 We do plan on making a review of the Turbo Timber Evolution this summer which will include points on what’s it’s capable of from a 3D flying standpoint. For now, we only have the one video that’s purely of flying it backcountry and 3D with no commentary. All info on the specs of the plane can be found in the description of that video. 🙂
