Screw being "dated" that trailer is sick as is! That is an awesome find!!!

Having an enclosed trailer, especially with living quarters is a game changer. Being that you have a single wheel truck what I would suggest is load the living quarters as if your going to a out of town race. Load the truck and a couple of your larger items. Then go scale it. Find out if you maybe need to have the truck back 10” from where it is. Or maybe even have to load it backwards when the fresh water tank is full. Then once the big things are where you need it you can add in all the little extra things where they fit. Also look at Pitpal racing products. They have all sorts of storage products for the race trailer. And even if you don’t buy it from them because it can get pricey. It will atleast give you some ideas of what you could build yourself or source locally to you.

Tom, if that generator is the same as mine. Hold the toggle up to start, push it down to stop. But when you cold crank it push and hold the stop button down for a few seconds will power the fuel pump and prime it.

Hell of an upgrade! Not sure if you have your CDL/ class A license or not but you should have it for hauling that trailer loaded. That trailer will make you a target for DOT, because the popularity of hotshot truckers using 1 ton trucks and a lot of them are running without CDL’s. I know more than a few people who have been pulled over and put out of service with race trailers and horse trailers even though is a hobby, but competitions often are for money.

Honestly what more could a guy want? Haul the truck and living quarters. Can’t beat that buddy🤙

Might look into a soft start for this ac units. Will help when you are plugged in and keeps you from popping breakers.

Tom one thing I highly highly recommend check all of the wheel bearings all of them and naturally ground connections and stuff like that anyway use Amsoil wheel bearing grease it’s the best of the best six in a row jim from a Kennerdell a Pennsylvania

Tom I have a 28 ft hallmark race trailer and I highly recommend a 4500 or 5500 Dually size truck to handle your trailer. You put all your other trans, toolbox, waist water, and jack in it scale it. Trust me it adds up quick for towing capacity of your current truck

Honda recon 250 is a perfect pit bike light weight to get in and out. We have a enclosed 28’ looks just like that inside the garage area.

Look into the Anderson hitch. Offsets the gooseneck back. I use it with my Cummins short bed with a fifth wheel. And can do a full 90 degree turn

I’d build ramp-overs over the wheelwells. Did when we were running DLM to avoid loading tires, plus it allows a spot to slide under for maintenance. Just a thought.

You could look into a 4g modem and antenna and get wifi for the trailer

Throw the FORD in the trash and buy a Dodge Dually to Tow the racetruck !!! Or buy a used Ram 2500 to tow the racetruck !!!! FORD SUCKS !!! Why don't you race a powerstroke ? MOPAR OR NO CAR !!!!
