Let me break it down for you. 70% of NYC cars in recent studies are clocked as Speeding on local roads. Cars kill every single day so have you seen bans on fast cars or sport cars? Are 70% of Car drivers getting tickets? Licensing or not, cars kill every day. Every E-Bike on the road replacing a car is saving lives in dense cities. Go visit a big city ER before hating on BS minor E-Bike infractions. Everyone Jaywalks in NYC too.

@@718og i agree with everything you said but i think he was talking about the part where hundreds of people are riding around not obeying any traffic laws , stops, intersections, no concern for cars or people crossing a crosswalk, i saw people riding on the wrong side of the road into oncoming traffic hahah. There is a term RISKY SHIFT in social psychology, people start doing crazy stupid things just because they are in a big mob. Although I dont think anyone will stop the rides, the authorities and media encourage lawlessness and allow it daily.

@@718og I'm not arguing with ya mate like I said i agree. You can say relatively it is safe compared to X Y Z yes that is true. The objective fact remains: a large group of people are riding around not following basic common sense laws of the road that everyone is expected to follow in order for the road to function. Did you see what happened with Mister Trudeau in Canada and the Truckers, government loves when these things happen because they can use it as an excuse to take xtreme measures and impose x y z new laws that screw everyone over. Common sense isnt so common I guess

I plugged the G60 into the motor sim and when i change the wheel diameter from 28" to 22" , its about 20% difference in top speed

Don't be that consumerist guy that just buys the Sur Ron to be cool and go fast. Only so much of a "build" you can do; when you buy a prebuilt its like everything is set up and dialed and you don't even want to touch it or work on it. It's more intersesting to see builds and tinkering and coming up with a build that works for you. SECONDLY, with Sur Rons, if it looks like a dirtbike and quacks like a dirtbike, the police are probably gonna give you some trouble. Been riding my BBSHD around for years, see police all the time, never had anyone say 1 thing about it or question it, because it looks like a bike and i pedal and when I'm around anyone I slow waaaaay down. The ebikes that look like dirtbikes are the ones that get pulled over and you're going to end up with a 4000$ POS you can only drive off road, or license and insure and all that rigamarole. I guess you can go race around in the streets of NYC and get away with it because its such a dumpster fire there.

These bikes that go 30-40mph and fall into the moped/dirt bike category are going to take a big dump on the rest of us. Sucks. Make sure you thumbs down this vid. ps in a lot of states you need a moped plate and moped or motorcycle license to be street legal

Amazing the number of trolls on this thread. Thank you for the video. I love ebikes, but todays video was more e motorcycle than bike. PAS is super important to me as a filter between Ebike and e-motorcycle. For me being part of the drivetrain myself is very rewarding. Just my opinion but PAS keeps speed down to “bicycle “ safe speeds, pushes your body as much as you desire it, components are way way cheaper to upgrade and replace. E motorcycles are cool but they are crowding into the bicycle arena, and that group is a very different bunch than typical Ebikers/cyclists. The Suron, especially spec wise, is honestly a crappy version of a dirt bike. If that’s your style of riding for half the money you can get twice the gas powered dirt bike with no range anxiety. And those can handle the bumps. I don’t know why but when I see a suron all I think is someone made a terrible decision. Stick with your custom builds, don’t switch to some cookie cutter motorcycle that can’t really perform any better than a 1500 dollar Honda cub.

9 minutes and 49 seconds into the video you cut of a pedestrian in the cross walk. You're video and the actions of your group will help to ensure that we'll have a registration process in the not so distant future. This will effectively take away the best part of owning a PEV. I love my bikes to include our ebikes. And because of people like you and your group, ebikes are prohibited 🚫 in certain areas where bicycles are still permitted to travel where I live. Thanks alot..... I'll return the favor by supporting any legislation that places sanctions on high performance ebikes (like requiring a license to operate, registration, insurance, vehicle inspections, and plates). In the future if you want to do a group ride like that, get a permit like they do for the 5 Boro bike tour. 30,000 plus riders on the road without breaking every other law and endangering pedestrians. Such a "Richard Cranium" thing to do and record on video.

FYI, there were some great views in the video and excluding the total disregard for safety the video still holds merit in demonstrating that a large group of riders can operate in a tight group without running into one another.
