Love your honesty and we all make mistakes so don’t be too hard on yourself. Hubby had the same happen to him with a trailer. QLD system is frustrating. Glad you sorted the issue and you’re back making tracks and memories. We love the jump up and Kings too! It’s stunning scenery. Thanks for the tip about Temple Bar caravan park. It’s now on the list. Mt Isa info centre is great with the dinosaur stuff.

Mate fulltime caravaning for 10 years, after the new Rego came in we had van un Rego for 2 years, with so much caravan accommodation, which road/ which free camp ect ect you do lose track of time place and the real world. A work mate missed the rego by 14months. He was advised to get a traverse permit to get a full machinery and roadworthy with new rego. Those stickers do serve a useful purpose. My neighbour was signed up for email bills but the rego one didn't arrive. He was lucky catching it on the due date through reviewing his bank statements. He paid with hours to go. These were in QLD.

What an episode!! I did the rego set n forget as well, it was three months out of rego when I got pulled over. In Vic you can set reminders, which is excellent. Safe travels guys

Thank you for sharing the good and the bad, set up a reminder on your phone for all your different registrations and insurances you can set these to remind you yearly, this helps just in case you miss the rego reminder emails from the motor registry

Thanks for watching ☺️ 100% agree and we have all those measures now in place because as we found out, because our car is regoed as commercial there is no reminder system... only for personal.. which i found a bit stupid, but thats government. 😂

Not sure if someone has mentioned it already, but, you can set up monthly payments through department of transport from your bank account, then you don't ever need to worry about paying or expiring. It'll get paid untill you tell it not to. Safe travels 🤙

😂 its a nervous what the hell are we doing laugh, but we have been through the rigga lately.. but like i say got to keep on keeping on ☺️

I think Aaron is definitely a bogan, love watching him doing his thing , with the sense of humour and the the care and love he shows to his family. As for the rego we got court out when it first went on line in SA, we were 6 weeks late, we also had to fix the windscreen so it could go though Regency pk, so now when we get the notification we pay it upfront so we don't make that mistake again, it just adds over on. Did you check to see if your insurer was still insuring you, ours was but if they notice your not registered they will discontinue your cover with out notice. It happened to friends of ours.

I quite enjoyed Mt Isa because back when I was there you could still do the tour down the mine. We wore the overalls, lights ect and went down the 1.6 km shaft with the miners. Then we actually got to stand next to the rock drilling rig while it was working. Truely an amazing experience for me but the stupid period when no one could get liability insurance killed it. I wonder how much of that water ends up in the great artesian basin, it’s hard to imagine all that water when you’ve only seen it baking in the sun. What an experience.

Mate you saved us. Wathing your vid my wife mentioned that she thought her car rego was due this month. So I hopped onto vicroads to check and guess what it expired the day before ! I think she will check her emails more often now.

Yes, certainly scarey driving under those conditions with unknown potholes under the flood waters, but knowing you must keep going. Aaron it might be time for a visit to the barber mate? Nsw has the same online rego shit, apparently according to the police officer who fined me for being unregistered ( was 4 days out 😢 ) the app alerts you, i went into the app turned on alerts, the caravan was due 1 month later, guess what no farking alerts for rego. Its a joke. Anyway love the video

Guy’s at least you are up front about the rego issue, at least your Vehicle is within load limits- there are so many out there that just don’t even come close to. I loved the vlog stay safe and dry 😅. You are not really Australian if you don’t have just a bit of bogan in you - tip brothers : A) put your registration due date in your phone/ computer calendar: B) have auto debit set up for it. Keep living the dream .

Does QLD not do ongoing direct debits? Plenty of people get caught out now it’s all online so don’t be too hard on yourself. That drive would have freaked me out!!! Totally relate to Steph’s anxiety 😬

Yea she was a pretty crazy run through up the guts.. some good bits, some not so good bits 😅 but now it’s behind us, keep on keeping on. Running Nitto Trail Grapplers 285/75r16 on the goat and love them. Also had them on our 4x4s👌

Piss easy to get a drone permit to fly in NT parks. Some localised restrictions in place mainly cultural sites and areas with heli tours but most of them it’s all good with the permit.

Feel for your rego predicament. The no rego sticker sucks and is just plain stupid. Also if you get a speeding fine and it's not paid they cancel your licence. So if there is a problem with the mail or your collection of it you may not know about the fine. Anyway, love your channel. Safe travels.

I put all these annual things in my phone calendar. Just hope you don't lose your phone.

Its all fine and nice but some people are doing this sort of travelling once in their lifetime and and when all those regulations hits you I don't why it's a hit in the pocket and left over without memories,no drones no pictures no dogs it's little bit overboard this caravanning and visiting national parks it's becoming a luxury.

I would call that a near miss if you had been in a accident the insurance companies would get out off paying in WA the rego covers injuries to people (only) I had an employee who thought 💭his License suspension was over but it wasn't as the fine hadn't been paid in full.Came to light after a accident driving the work truck insurance declined claim $100k and a long and messy court battle

Quite a lot of really nice spots in and around The Isa, shame to hear you dis the place, like a lot of the regional areas that pay for the coastal areas and the rest of the states good stuff we get forgotten and left to deal with the “problems”on our own. As for the smells you are alluding to “they” and only once again the minority don’t even register or have licenses so wouldn’t even be in at QLD transport. Born and raised here, had my 5 children here that all make incredible wages the costal people can only dream of and give back to our community and we don’t have to travel to get to the most beautiful places and we all 4WD the area and camp regularly. Like you said “ life gives you lemons make tequila”. A lot of anxiety and bad information can lead people to only see what they want. I know you can’t keep everyone happy but just disappointed.

Yeah pretty unfortunate however when we went to Mt Isa we were there for only one purpose! Getting our car sorted. We just didn’t have the time because we had other things going on. In all honestly it’s just not the place for us and we would be lying if we said we loved it! But that being said- we literally only spent 2 Nights there and in that time we didn’t feel comfortable.
