MASSIVE BARN FIND MUSTANG SCALE MODEL DONE!!! (IN TIME FOR TELFORD)

Welcome back to the final part where I (re)build and paint this massive 1/8th Scale Super Snake Mustang from Agora Models.
When Agora Models contacted me offering to make one of their fantastic large scale kits, I had to say constructing such a thing, although interesting, wouldn’t really be feasible for me. So we agreed that I could instead paint a pre-built test shot of the model, in my own way. This is the final instalment in the story of how I tackled a unique weathering job in my own style.
The goal was a rusty and weatherbeaten, vegetation and mould infested beater of a car. I think I got there in the end.
In this video I attach new upgraded wheels, I weather the entire vehicle and use some neat Algae, Lichen and Moss effects from Lifecolor.
If you want to find out more, this is their amazing and very impressive large-scale replica of the Super Snake Mustang 550GT - a one-off car used to test a brand of tyres for an advertising campaign in the 1960s (www.agoramodels.com/1967-shel.... My one is sort of replica build that fell on hard times, abandoned out in the rusty acres, it was salvaged by someone and placed in a barn for future restoration. It runs and drives they said, before it was put away!

It did turn out great, looks awesome, i have not done a car all run down like that, after this i think i might have to do a diorama of a scrap yard with 3-4 cars like that, but in 1/24 scale as it would be to big in a lager scale

I built the Aston Martin DB5 bond car for my friend. He bought all the magazines but his deteriorating health ment he could not build it himself so I volunteered my services. He didn’t want it weathered in any way so it was easy for me to just build the thing. The electrics where a particular nightmare of mine as I’d check they worked on installation but when I came to attaching the underneath floor chassis plate half the electric’s stopped working so i had a lot of messing around with that and by the end I’m sure my arm muscles had grown considerably 🤪🤪🤪 like your beautiful Mustang it weighs an absolute tonne 😳😳😳 I wish now I’d had the opportunity to weather it up a bit NOT as badly as your Mustang but more like general driving muck and dirt, dust etc 😍😍😍 I’d also love to get my hands on a mustang like yours as the film Gone in 60 seconds had an absolutely gorgeous Shelby Cobra GT500 Mustang called Eleanor 😍😍😍 there was a shot of a “Barn Find” one right at the end of the film and I must say yours reminded me of it, in fact that’s why I watched this series of your videos as I just love the looks of the GT500 with the super wide wheels, air intakes and spoilers, scoops and bulges 😁🤣😍 I must congratulate you on a job extremely well done sir and I hope she came away from Telford with a few medals 🤩🤩🤩 your work on her is outstanding and really does look so realistic, well in my humble opinion she does anyway 😆😆😆 I’m also glad you get to keep her after the show so at least we’ll be able to see her displayed in your workshop and hopefully you get to build that diorama you wanted to display her on 🙏🙏🙏 hopefully we get to see that build to 🤞🤞🤞 All the very best to you and am looking forward to seeing the new channel on your BMW’s restoration’s hopefully your cars aren’t in as bad a shape as this Mustang 😅😅😅 anyway wishing you every success and all the luck in the world 🤓😎🤩😍👍👍👍👍👍👍
