Great room and video! I would guess a DCR-lens was discussed especially with the MadVR, and was wondering why you specifically chose not to use one ?
@AudioAdvice
2 жыл бұрын
@J P great question. The Sony laser has a cone in front of it that can present a danger to your eyes. With the low ceiling we had to position the projector in front of the main seats to be safe. This meant we had to use the short throw lens version. The DCR will not work with a short throw. But it’s really not needed as the picture is insanely bright.

Totally Amazing! @ 5:11, That CC would drive me Crazy! Why not just use the embedded Closed Caption?
@AudioAdvice
2 жыл бұрын
Thank you. It is using the embedded closed captions, but when you have a 2.40 movie and they put the closed captions in the black bars below the movie, you can't zoom it out to fill the screen without making the captions disappear. The Mad VR lets you custom adjust the zoom, and you can also set different time frames for it to change when it sees captions, from instantly going back and forth to just staying with the custom zoom the whole movie. Thanks for watching
Thank you for sharing this great content. The quality of these home theater videoes is really impressive. From the charismatic presentation, knowledge sharing, video clipping and more. Very interesting from start to finish, and the enthusiasm is contagious 😊👍🏻 One thing I would really be interested in is the total price of the home theatres in each video. Just ballpark figures. Is this a USD 200.000 or USD 500.000 build, when taking installation/labour into consideration? Would nice to have it broken down like: Room/furniture/lights/carpentry: USD 40.000 Audio hardware: USD 150.000 Video hardware: USD 80.000

Imagine going from this to a family members house and watching a movie on their 32 inch "Big Screen"....In my quest for Larger screens (TV) I got up to 65" and it was great, until I had to move it or move homes. Since then I went down to 50" and I think thats my sweet spot. Fits on a small stand, move it to any room, toss it in the car, etc. When Im in the home Im going to die in, then I'll get a massive TV lol.. Of course I enjoy bigger TVs but the last time I moved I had to rent a uhaul for just my TV and my safe. After that I said never again lol. Gave it to my mom haha. The upgrade of her life.

Awesome room but man is that system lacking the LFE. At least grab a few JTR Captivator 4000s or build a few 21" Devastators or 24" LLT cabinets.
I am curious though why you wouldn't want a widening of the room towards the screen or adapt the audio setup for sitting closer to the screen so it covers more of your field of view for immersion. Looking straight ahead and the screen being 40% of what you see doesn't seem ideal. I understand there might be some limitations with the original attic but in my head a widening room would be superior no?

Very nice! If you've seen my channel, you know I'm a big fan of line arrays. I don't know what the final count will be in terms of number of drivers but the LCR totals 190 drivers, 70 each main and 50 in the center. Sixteen 15's in dipole woofers, eight 18's in IB brings it to 214 drivers not including surrounds etc. The current plan for the side speakers put them at 25 drivers each times 6 for another 150 drivers. Rears and Atmos, I haven't decided on yet but without them, it's at 364 drivers. I expect it will top 400 drivers total. What can I say, I have a tendency to overkill;-) Great video, I bet it does sound spectacular! It's hard to beat line arrays!
