Detroit is rebounding exponentially!!!

Why? Everyone abandon the city after it went bankrupt! Why not just set the money on fire? Spend it on fixing the housing crisis in every major American city, but especially in particular, Los Angeles. Just take a little stroll down, skid row like I did last year, and you’ll quickly see where the money desperately needs to go first before building this waste of money in a dying city! Priorities and perspective people!!!!! I’m sorry to be so blunt, but let’s be honest, Detroit is a sinking ship, with a huge hole in it. It would be cheaper to plough the entire city under and start from scratch, and that is no exaggeration. It is a shame, Because it used to be one of the most powerful, productive and beautiful cities in the country. This is the perfect example of why you never ever build an entire city based upon one industry only! My heart breaks for everybody there, it truly does, but spending that much money, in a huge money pit like Detroit, could be put to better use elsewhere that actually has hope for the future. Every single person I knew that lived in Detroit left long ago. Some because of the insanely high crime, others, because there was nothing left for them there. It went from a bustling thriving metropolis of 1.8 million people, down to a crime ridden, corrupt lead disaster area with a population of only 600,000 people, that’s nothing compared to other big cities that desperately need that money!

What an incredibly ignorant comment, I love when people try to pose as being "blunt" when in reality they're just showcasing how little they understand about the subject they are talking about. Just because Detroit's population is 600k doesn't mean this facility is a waste of money. As if it wont serve the 3.4 million people that live in the metro-Detroit area or the 10 million residents of the state, let alone those who come from out of state for school/work. Also this project and a lot of its funding are coming from Michigan/Detroit based sources. Why would Michigan State University, Henry Ford Health, or the Detroit Pistons spend their money on fixing a housing crisis in a city across the country? Grateful every day that people like you aren't running this country with ideas like "plough the entire city under and start from scratch, and that is no exaggeration".

Anyone who thinks otherwise it’s just fooling themselves. I don’t give a damn about Henry Ford, or anyone else, it’s gone, face it! Welcome to reality, stop, living in a dream world, and saying I’m the one living in ignorance, you’re the one living in total ignorance when you can’t see something so bloody obvious, a moron could see it! They should just plough the whole city under and start from scratch, getting rid of all the criminals in the process to destroy the city. It’s a cesspool of gangs, guns and violence!
