Much appreciated! Yeah I’ve probably bought 7 or 8 Joker Prizms off eBay & this was the first one worth grading. Stoked to finally track down a clean one!

What a hit on that Mauer rookie! Even finding a copy of that card that is gem worthy is a heck of a task. Nicely done. Enjoyed the reveal, as always. Great success rate on those crack outs as well, congrats.

You have a good eye, well done. @ 6:23... I have two of these being graded right now myself. I swear that is Tucker Carlson courtside, right above the basketball in Curry's hand. Looks like him, similar "body language" so to speak. I think it's him. I watched a grainy video of the game but it was all shot from a distance. What do you think? Would definitely add a premium.

Nice gem rate! Some great cards you got graded! Some cards you showed how much you invested but others you didn’t, is that because you personally got those cards from opening products or old collection? Love how some of your COMC pick ups gem. Gives me hope to buy cards from them. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for watching! I mostly didn’t put stats for every card because it’s time consuming when editing, so sheer laziness haha. I don’t do much ripping aside from a retail blaster once in a blue moon, so the bulk of my cards are from eBay, COMC & Card Shows. There’s definitely some clean cards on COMC, I’d estimate 25-30% of what I buy on there is gradable. I’m posting a COMC pickup vid in the next few days actually!

Great reveal! My fave is probably the Haliburton Fast Break Purple. Just curious on a few things: 1) Why did the bigger order (100+) make you nervous? Is it the insurance sending to PSA or more concern about a grumpy grader for so many cards? 2) With your Gem Eye, why don't you go for more high-end stuff? For example - the Sochan Red Ice, even as a 10 - is it worth it to grade? 3) What do you do with the ebay raw cards that you don't end up sending in for grading? Thanks! Again - awesome content, always look forward to watching.

Hey! I love that card as well. Great questions. The bigger order made me nervous mostly because there’s always a chance of a harsh grader. Just more risky in that sense. As for the Sochan, just a card I found in a dollar box & thought was clean. Financially not a card that makes much sense but I’m not above grading stuff for the fun of it & who knows, maybe a Spurs fan would want it in a 10. I don’t have unlimited bankroll & am trying to expand my eBay inventory so I tend to stay in the mid-to-low end tier, but I’m not opposed to dabbling w/ high end in the future. I usually consign my raw cards, you could also send them to COMC & probably maximize your return but I prefer a quicker turnaround so I can reinvest that cash.

@@pdxwax Many of the reveal videos I watch are guys who submitted a 1980 card with 3 dinged corners, a huge crease, 90/10 off-center & 2 bullet holes in it...then complain when it doesn't return as a PSA Gem 10, LOL. But you have a real talent for this & are unusually realistic in your expectations. I can't even believe you are able to assess the cards so accurately without a loup. Your gem % rate (& bold crackouts/re-submissions) speaks for itself. That's why I was curious whether your eventual goal was to grade high-end raw cards, then flip. Is there any other consigner for raw you recommend other than COMC? I wasn't sure if there were any other online ones you used or just took them to a local card shop.

@@user-ic4dq2yn6b I've definitely seen my fair share of reveal videos w/ a lot of complaining about cards that are obviously off-center or have a dinged corner or two. I also sometimes get comments about how I must have gotten an easy grader or I must know somebody at PSA 🤣 End of the day, I've been doing this for awhile and have experience & familiarity w/ how PSA generally grades (obviously there is some variance between graders). I'm also pretty ruthless when assessing cards. If I don't think there's a chance a card will gem, it's generally not getting graded except in the rare occasion that a PSA 8 or 9 will be profitable. I've personally found that I can assess a card well enough w/ a good natural light source, but I do have a handheld magnifying glass I'll use on occasion to get a closer look. As for consignment, I like Hoody's Collectibles because they are local to me, list items in a timely manner & I've established a relationship w/ them. Many sellers use Probstein or DCSports87, but I can't personally vouch for either. I've also heard some mixed reviews about Probstein regarding payouts, so your mileage may vary.

Can you tell us what you plan to do cracking the new PSA slabs (the ones that are harder to crack / they have this more rubbery feel vs plastic feel when you crack them) ?

I probably won’t bother to be honest, especially if it’s a high end card. The risk of damaging the card is pretty high. Putting them in the freezer for an hour seems to help though (check out Little Victories video on the subject)
