Love that Shawn Marion Chrome Black Ref... the black boarder reminds me of their old alternate jerseys, they were sick!!! Those 2016 optics are beautiful too, love that set!

Love the reveal! Very exciting that at least the first round of NY specials have moved quickly! For the Flacco at the end, at the top left on the front from the "C" in Contenders to the edge looks like a horizontal indent. Could just be the light and seeing it through YT.

Didn’t see it there when I checked…but who knows, you probably right 👌 I probably shouldn’t have graded Flacco to begin with 🤣

With the Barry optic card you may know the design has that centering and most collectors probably know it does, but I never trust that a PSA grader would know. I sent in a beautiful 2000 Collector's Edge Brady RC awhile back that had some chipping on the bottom edge but, for the most part, was clean...the design of the card is to make the one "border" a little thicker than the other but I don't think my grader knew that because they gave it a 6. The chipping should have dropped it to an 8. I really think my grader thought it was OC because he/she didn't know the design. I don't even blame the graders...when you hire so many new graders in a short amount of time you almost expect things like this to be missed from grader to grader. Great video as always...you need to find a cool way to display that black refractor set when it is completed!

You’re definitely right. It’s nearly impossible for these new graders to know every set for every sport unfortunately:( Things like the Barry and your Brady edge are going to happen from time to time. And good call on the black refractor set, it would look awesome displayed. After all these new year specials come back…I should only need 20-30 to complete the set 👌

My wife works at usps and i asked her what that means regarding your sgc order. She said it usually means the package was damaged and sent to a different facility. Hope that's not the case though and it turns up safely, you never know. It is on the usps though not sgc unless they packaged it poorly. Great video as always though!

From what I saw on the flacco it looks like there is an indent on top card between the O and the K in rookie. Sweet video as always! Love watching man

Little Victories, I've been a fan of yours for a long while! And I was one of your early subscribers! In one of your early videos from a while back, you mentioned that you use a "snipe" service to buy cards off of Ebay! I can't remember which video you mentioned that in...and I can't remember what the name of that "sniping" service is! Is there any way you could make a video showing exactly how that service works? Like a video describing how to use it, what it costs, the pros and cons, and how to set it up or link it with an eBay account? And any other advice you could offer? Thanks!

That’s a good idea for a future vid 👌 Until then, I’ll give you a quick answer. I use EZsniper. It’s $10 a month, unlimited snipes. Create an account on their site, click the button link eBay account, link eBay account. And then go to eBay and make sure to add any items you want to snipe to your eBay watchlist 👍 Then go back to ezsniper site, and you’ll see a section with your eBay watchlist. From that you enter the amount you want to bid. And then ezsniper does the rest. Good luck! And happy collecting!

So the best way to make money on sports cards is to buy off eBay and flip them into slabs? How much does it usually cost to start?

There are many ways to make money (also many ways to lose money 😂) on sports cards. I wouldn’t say my way (raw to slab) is necessarily the best way…it’s just the way that works for me and I’m confident speaking about. I would start by buying around 25-50 clean raw cards valued between $5-30 bucks each. Then grade the best 20 of them with PSA. Grading fees at PSA fluctuate between $15-20 bucks per card. Good luck! When you buy at a cards show do you use a magnifying glass or do you just eyeball them.

For cards valued under $10 bucks…I just do a quick eyeball through the case. Anything over $10 bucks I usually take the card out of case and inspect closer with just my eyes, no magnifying glass 👌 Hope that helps! Happy collecting

I just use my naked eye, and card under a nice bright light 👌 But I recommend using a jeweler loupe. I’ve just been grading for 20 years so I like to think I have a trained eye. But I definitely miss things from time to time. Thanks for watching!

I would say that Flacco has zero chance of getting a 9, minimal chance for an 8...best I could see would be a 7, but 6 seems fitting to my eyes. 3 touched corners, a nick on the bottom border, and that is what I can see from afar in the video....good luck if you choose to resub, but I think it is a losing proposition, and not worth it even if they SOMEHOW gave you an 8...take the loss and move on...

I buy my cards from eBay, comc, card shows, card shops, and personal collections. The key is to buy enough of them and 15% of them will be clean and gradeable 🤪 Just use the zoom feature on eBay, and start with making sure centering is within gem range, then zoom into corners and edges, make sure no white showing. Surface is just a gamble since you can’t really see surface scratches 🤞 Happy collecting! Thanks for the comment

I just don't have the stomach for high end...too stressful. I usually stick to my bread and butter $5-200 buck cards :)@@PaytonIrslinger

On the flacco,, obviously i cant see it in hand,,but on camera just looking at the card as a whole it seems to hace bad eye appeal its seems to draw my eyes to the sticker edges ,,which stickers supposly dont affect the grade and the corners dont look sharp when seeing the card as a whole,, not saying you deserve the grade,,i guess what I'm saying is the card just seems off

It’s not SGC it’s the USPS. I never let anything go USPS always FedEx

You’re probably right 👍 but SGC still could have packaged poorly and cards spilled out of package, or they could have put in a wrong address, accidentally shipped media mail, who knows. I just hope it turns up 🤞 And you’re right, I’m only choosing FedEx for return shipping if I ever use SGC again 🙌

Also tip from my local fed ex carrier. Use air...they work directly for fed ex and are accountable for packages. Ground is a cotract group and they have zero accountability. Pay for the upgrade. Lol
