Frank I’m Brazilian and I saw this video today 20/03/2021 and your reaction is very good! they are a comedy group the name Hermès e Renato and they had a tv show in MTV Brazil and this group created a Massacration. The vocal “Detonator” is a funcopy of Bruce Dickinson, and Brazilian people liked a lot massacration, this band had a success in Brazil 🇧🇷,

No fim dos tempos, aqueles que não seguirem o grandioso e não ouvirem a música criada por Ele, será mandado para a terra do funk ostentação, onde todos possuem cabelos amarelos, cordão de zinco banhado a ouro e ouvem funk por toda eternidade.

Meu irmão me apresentou a banda e eu amei pois éramos muito zoeira. Essa semana faz 1 ano que ele faleceu e o Facebook me relembrou um vídeo do massacration e a felicidade de ouvir eles com meu amado irmão me trouxe uma alegria que eu não sentia desde q ele partiu. Obrigado Massacration

@@juliobrujo mas se tu prestar atençao no monty python e o santo graau é totalmente esculhanbado, eles so conseguiram um castelo pra gravar e usaram miniaturas de papelao pra parecer que eram 3, e nem tinham cavalos, nao foi escolha, foi falta de dinheiro mesmo, a diferença é que eles tinham pouco dinheiro pra um filme, o que ainda é mais dinheiro que pra um programa de tv como hermes e renato

Massacration is a creation of the comedy group Hermes e Renato. The most intresting about this is that two of the comedians can actualy play electric guitar (one of them has died a few years ago) and the vocalist can sing really well as you can see.

The joke is that lot of american words end with "ation" so they that brasilian words and put the "ation" at the end to look like is ab actual english word. And the "ai ai ai, em cima, em baixo, puxa e vai" was a Brazilian cheering (is that a word?!) scream at the Barcelona Olympics.

That intro (ai, ai ai ai, ai ai ai ai ai ai ai, em cima, embaixo, puxa, e vai) was a kind of cheering cry at voleyball games back in the early 90's here in Brazil. The rythim back in the day was the same Massacration emulates in a metal way.

Hi Frank, Massacration is one of the attractions of a comedy group called Hermes & Renato. They decided to make humor with music and created it, the most incredible thing is that they toured with crowded stadiums and sold more than fifty thousand CDs of the debut album in a country that almost completely ignores this musical genre (see Sepultura that in the 90s was a huge success in the world but in Brazil they could hardly perform for a thousand). I was forgetting, when in live shows the drummer is Ricardo Confessori, former drummer from Angra and Shaaman. There have already been participations in some shows by Igor Cavallera, former Sepultura drummer too

Problem is The Bull is so into the context of brazilian culture that honestly Frank or people from other country wouldn't manage to understand how incredibly fun it is.

The massacration singer was a very close friend of Andre Mattos (former Angra). You should come to Brazil to watch their concert. It’s a lot of fun! Cheers!

Those guitar riffs are mimicking old brazilian carnival songs that pretty much every Brazilian would know. Hence why everybody is singing. 😄 I've been to one of their concerts. One of the most fun events I've been to in my life.

Massacration, a comic metal band formed by comedians from MTV's Hermes and Renato, had the essential support of Iggor Cavalera at the beginning of his stage career. In 2004, the band led by Detonator, played by Bruno Sutter, was invited as the opening act for Sepultura, a surprising decision at the time due to its mockery of metal stereotypes. In addition to inviting Massacration to open shows, Iggor also made the demand to be the drummer at these shows under the alter ego El Covero. “You have Iggor Cavalera, a guy who is an idol to all of us…”, recalled Sutter in an interview with The Wikimetal Happy Hour. “This story is incredible. He wore a mucha lucha mask, covered all the tattoos with a shirt to do that very metal, mystery drummer thing. We ended up adopting this maxim and every Massacration drummer is masked”. At the time, Cavalera justified the choice of the humorous band at the Sepulfest festival in an interview with Folha de S. Paulo. “They have everything to do with Sepultura because we also have a deadly hatred of idiot metalheads, radicals who don't listen to anything different and the stereotypes they satirize”, declared the drummer.
