In this video we are going to talk about massive regularization in Spain so that people who are living without papers can get a residence permit in Spain along with a work permit.
The Congress of Deputies of Spain approved on 04/09/2024 to take into account the Popular Legislative Initiative presented by the “Regularization Now” Movement made up of migrants and civil organizations in Spain for the mass regularization of all undocumented immigrants in Spain so that they can obtain a residence permit in Spain along with a work permit that allows them to work either as an employee through an employment contract or allows them to work on their own by starting their own business.
The reasons for the massive regularization in Spain of people who are living without papers are:
1.- Respect for the fundamental rights of migrants in Spain.
2.- Know the number of migrants residing in Spain in order to guarantee their labor rights under conditions of equality.
3.- Eradicate the underground economy.
4.- The establishment of an agile regulatory procedure accompanied by coherent and reasonable criteria for access to a residence permit in Spain together with a work permit that allows them to live and work with papers in Spain.
We must mention that the Congress of Deputies has only approved taking into account the Popular Legislative Initiative presented, but it remains to be determined how the mass regularization process for people without papers in Spain will be carried out or when it will be approved, among other issues.
