I didn't discover this trilogy until 2013. I was in a really low place in my life and was contemplating suicide. I don't know what it was about this series, but it pulled me back. I'm a new fan that played through the series after the Legendary edition release. I've got to say everything from the characters, the plot and the vast amounts of lore has me head over heals for this series. The music does such a good job of drawing you in and the world building always leaves you wanting more. I know its a long shot, but I hope we get to see a return to the Shepard story someday, but hey isn't that what this series is about: hope?

Same here. Couldn’t get into ME1 cause it’s so old, but I really liked ME2, and ME3 just blew me away. I’m already a diehard fan and can’t wait for the next game. Sounds like they’re trying to get back to their roots with the next one. I don’t think the music was anything special until ME3 though.

@@russellmxnia ME1 felt fine to me, only issue I had was the size was so massive it felt like it would take a century for me to even get it done. The amount of planets you could explore and the side missions, felt like it would take too long.

@@horrorpleb249 I’m on my second playthrough of ME1 and it’s much better the second time around now that I have an appreciation for the series. And that’s how I felt about ME3, but I loved it. The sheer amount of content was insane, especially since the heavy majority of it wasn’t filler at all. Most of the side missions and all of the DLC are as quality as the main story.

Uncharted Worlds is still one of the most recognizable pieces of music I've ever heard. No other track to me really quite says Mass Effect like sitting on the galaxy map and hearing that song play. It's masterful

I have been guilty of just letting the game sit open, looking at the galaxy map and doing something else, just listening to the theme. Vigil and Normandy Reborn are my other all time faves from the trilogy.

Vigil is a very powerful piece of music. It transcends.

Assassins Creed the Ezio trilogy of games was the one that first had a real impact on me. Then I played Mass Effect. Nothing has ever surpassed it for me ever since. The story, the characters. I loved every minute. Sure, some things weren’t perfect for me, the mako I hated personally and obviously the ending was a bit well meh. But the overall experience was fantastic.

The best video game trilogy of all time.

The Mass Effect 1 OST is the only OST of anything I have ever bought in my life. I was still in high school and lived on my own. All I had at the time was Mass Effect, and everything about it suited me perfectly at that time in my life.

Suicide mission and Leaving Earth still give me goosebumps.

Every time I hear the "Leaving Earth" song I can see that scene of the reapers coming down and destroying everything humanity achieved. Brings a tear to my eye every single time. Nothing hits me deeper than seeing everything we have done and could be, be destroyed so easily.

The ending i chose, which was the destroy ending felt similar. Watching the earth get destroyed, all the humans and aliens fighting on the ground get vaporized was hard to watch.

The main menu version bangs so much. The first time you play me2 and that title screen theme starts playing. Epic, thematic, bloody gorgeous

00:17:09 Specter Induction is my favorite part of the game. The dialogue from the council decree, the bystanders gathering to watch, and this music in the background. Epic.

The music is so good and iconic, I can picture every mission, every cut scene as I listen. One of the few games where the music doesn't get turned off.

Mass Effect is the reason why I love story driven games, the music.. it has a.. mass effect on you.

I just completed the trilogy for the first time and this is now one of my favorite series of all time, the music, the characters, the story, everything is incredible. I feel like a fool for not playing the games earlier buy better late than never. I really hope Bioware makes things right with the next game.

Ah the legendary Virmire Ride soundtrack 43:57, as you're driving alongside the coastline and beaches of Virmire battling collosi and armatures while the Normandy SR1 flies by to land and meet up with Kirrahe and his STG men. Can't believe that was 14+ years ago, but the sight is vivid as ever, especially when that theme plays. It had more of a Daft Punk feel than the whole other OST but boy did it fit well in the game.

can't listen to half of these songs without getting emotional in nostalgia, happiness, or sadness. this story is just incredible

In my option, the best trilogy ever made in the Human race. Nothing more, nothing less.

Mass Effect trilogy will always be my most favorite game series of all time. Thank you Bioware for making this masterpiece games.

Думаю, если простому прохожему на улице дать послушать некоторые OST из ME, то ему покажется мол что за ерунда, ничего такого. А у нас это вызывает восторг потому что все на уровне ассоциаций, когда мы слышим тот или иной саунд из ME, в голове всплывает столько картинок, моментов, диалогов, итд, эх..

@@user-zy5nz8ft8d , одно время я на работе часто слушал музыку из Масс Эффект. После чего мой знакомый попросил скинуть ему музыку на смартфон. Играми он вообще не интересуется. Я например ни когда не играл в Дэус экс однако иногда с удовольствием слушаю музыку из этой игры.

@@user-zy5nz8ft8d , да в точку. Воспоминаний море! Как бы странно это не звучало, но я настолько проникся сюжетом игры, ее истории, что в правдоподобности происходящего не приходится сомневаться) Насчет саундтрека игры, даже те, кто не знаком с игрой, равнодушным оставить не должно.

@@fuster5003 Там только за композицию "I was lost without you" плакать можно) А вообще, лучшая трилогия на данный момент, не считая светофор в конце. Стабильно перепрохожу трилогию и сейчас, уж очень все родное)

The illusion man has always been one of my favorite tracks. It feels as if he is a man haunted by all the chaotic secrets of the universe and rather then being overwhelmed by them, he instead forms an order amidst their chaos. He harnesses his mysterious curses to serve his grand and personal melodic purpose.

Just finished my first blind playthrough and here i am now listening to this.. One hella great gaming trilogy .. The last mission when you speak the last time to your crew members on earth, i couldn't hold tears..

Seeing all the little animated clips reminds me how much a ME animated series would of been awesome. May 14th can not come fast enough.

"Virgil" is a motif that sets the tone for the Mass Effect. The tracts for Virmire are also epic. Jack Wall knocked it out of the park

Probably one of the greatest experiences gaming of all time.

This franchise is the only reason why i still feel joy in my life.

"Vigil" and the way it weaves in and out of all three games is amazing.

Played the trilogy for the first time, went in completely blind. 10/10, fantastic experience. Thank you Mass Effect ❤

Согласен) Думаю что у многих так. Я лишь надеюсь что трилогия будет жить еще долгое время. Разрабы сделали правильно, что решили сделать ремастер. Может, и не все так радужно, как хотелось бы, но зато это даст лишний повод сделать рекламу старого творения.

Still here 10 months later. Thank you for this edition. We stand with Command Shepard and the crew of the Normandy.

Love Theme and Reflections are beyond beautiful as romances music. Jack Wall, Sam Hulick, and the entire sound team outdid themselves on the score.

Thank you, Bioware. Huge love from Japan. Mass Effect最高！

I luv the fact that they are breathing new life into this franchise!! So many good and tearful moments, so many lovable characters and locations! A triology that's truly made with love!

Everytime I even see a picture related to mass effect I think I get tears

First I was like "Hey, how nice that they did this soundtrack video for us." Then I realized it is the best marketing. Boy I got nostalgic listening to these tracks. I want to play the legendary edition so badly.

Mass effect is more than a game, it's truly something to experience. Can't wait to fall in love with this beautiful series all over again on May 14th!

This is remind me the first time I played this game. I hope everyone who played this before and anyone who intend to play this, can feel the same way.

@@2138Dude Tell me about it... Of course, this is too idealistic. I know life is injustice in multiple levels. And we can't do anything with it. But sometimes you drown in this dream, burn because of injustice and... We can't do anything. Life is life. Life cannot change. But! Too much philosophy. It's a wonderful game making think about such serious things.

54:10 I got goosebumps after hearing this part, that one small part of the series was probably the creepiest out of them all and made you feel so helpless against something like it. It was definitely the best anyone has ever done to make a single character seem unstoppable

Whenever I hear the vigil theme in this game it gets me all emotional and teary eyed especially when it plays with tali on rannoch such a good piece of music

God Sam Hulick is just incredible, - the synth tones and reaper groans, brings back a lot of awesome memories. This soundtrack and the OG trilogy played a massive part in my life as a teen, truly made me appreciate a good, coherent story with amazing characters. I know BioWare has the ability to make the greatest of come backs with the next instalment in the Mass Effect series, and I'm all here for it! Love for the love

@@lukemchief1174 If you play all three games in order and make the right choices while importing your character across all three games, neither race has to die. You can save both. If you want to try this on your next playthrough, I recommend following your instinct and paying close attention to the consequences your choices will have, but not too much attention. What matters is doing what you think is right, even if in that moment, and in the lingering moments after, it feels wrong. Still make the hard calls. Trust your instinct, trust yourself, and you should be alright. Remember that the game isn't as black and white as paragon and renegade. Just choose what best fits your instinct in the moment. Good luck.

There are a ton of OSTs out that are as good or better. There is a ton of filler in MEs OST. The big name tracks are great (the ME1 theme, citadel, etc) but a lot of the other stuff is fairly average. As mainstream as it is now, O'Donnels work on Halo is legendary and was a massive trend setter, and more recently Borislav's work on Divinity Original Sin 2 is masterful. There are plenty others as well. Me's OST is good, but it has stiff competition.

Completed the Legendary Edition a couple of days ago, I was quite teary eyed by the end since it meant saying goodbye to a great series and all of the friends made along the way in the games once again. Also returning to the series over seven years after the last time and after much has happened in my life in those seven years from undergoing hormone replacement therapy to help my body transition and fit better and the wonderful impact it's had on me meant that returning to the series was not only emotional but very special. Such an epic series that is truly deserving of the word, excellent work.
