The loyalty mission kind of saved Liam (or put him more into perspective?), because otherwise he is such a paper máché character.

I almost died during that New Hope reference! "Everything's under control, just a simple weapon malfunction. How are you?" and Liam gets it and is chuckling ahahaha (Reference to that scene where Han Solo, Luke and Chewie are saving Leia and they get a com from the death star hq and Han is improvising.)

I find the light hearted stuff appropriate for the situation this game is in. They aren't in the middle of a war, they are exploring and finding a new home so the more fun stuff can come out. Havin a good ol' time with game :D

It also works imo 'cause they're more of a civilian group than Shepard's, who was a career soldier with a lot more military types on the crew. Conversely Cora's really the only military type on the Tempest.

I love how casual can Ryder be. Shepard was the hero, the alpha male. "He was born to do this." Ryder is just a kid, thrown into his position outta nowhere, using just his guts and wit trying to make it through. Shepard had nothing to prove. Ryder does. I enjoy the change of pace in our current position immensely.

Agreed, Shepard was a war hero and well known when we meet them (at least that's the background I gave), and by the middle of ME3 was like a demigod. Ryder on the other hand is just starting on their journey and learning to be a hero as they go. I look forward to what the future holds.

Spartan, don't believe all the negativity surrounding the game. This is the internet, there's a lot of people who just jumped on the bandwagon because it's fashionable to hate Bioware/EA --- I mean I saw people make youtube vids bashing the game when it was obvious they had't even gotten off the 2nd planet. Yeah, the game had some issues at launch, but it's being tweaked and most of those issues are being minimized .... but the writing, combat and graphics are pretty damn good (yes, there's some occasional cringy dialogue, but not THAT much ... and the voice acting could at times be better).

Am I the only one cracking up when Ryder and Liam were arguing, but were constantly disconnecting Calot's call as his dramatic music started up? That was just absolutely hilarious to me.

The Shuttle seat harnesses trying to close on Drack the entire time killed me.

honestly the most enjoyable thing about this game was when you were in the mako and had Jaal and Peebee as squadmates because their convorsations were so fucking hilarious which is a given since they had some good voice actors.

Pulsar07 They made Cora so bland compared to the previous biotic badasses we got. The Asari-worship is annoying. Also, the stunt she and the Asari Pathfinder's guard pulled off is just complete garbage. Why are biotics so strong now? Why is that not implemented in the game?

It's not a bad game. I enjoyed playing it. But it doesn't compare to the trilogy. The trilogy is so good that i've played through it multiple times. This game was alright, but i will probably only play it once. Driving around in that car for the majority of the game tends to get boring. The side missions were not very interesting either. There are some goods and bads with this game. It's not perfect, but not horrible. It's a 1 time playthrough though :)

I'm so happy that Mass Effect 3's "Don't push this button" joke has carried on into this game. Well worth my purchase.

This is honestly my 2nd favorite ME. Between the crew being much more developed then the ME1 crew. Gameplay being much better. Writing is incredible for the amount in this game. I love it

Andromeda is a good game - it's just not a great "Mass Effect", dampened due to being rushed out and leaving lots of obvious cut-corners. Only blatant red-flag is the human faces/animations and a story that can't rival what three previous games built. I waded into it with no trilogy expectations and enjoyed it, even back before the patches that fixed the most comical animations. Look at ME1 - that was no picnic either, but it didn't have the weight of three games hanging over it which fuelled a waiting expectation. Playing it a year later and enjoying it just as much this time around. So easy to burn hundreds of hours in MEA, but most won't give it that chance because [insert complaint here].

Ryder: "There must be a way. Anyone have ideas?" Drack: "I Don't think shooting it'll help..." Ryder: "(Weirded-out look) LMAO...

This game had its issues at times, but by god was it on point with the humour.

The reason I bring this up is because Andromeda takes place 600 years in the future. Around the time before the Hyperion left the Milky Way, there should have been a few Star Wars movies. So Liam, being the guy who makes funny comments all the time, would make the connection. He’s the kind of guy who would make those funny references. Besides, wasn’t he the person who brought up the idea of movie night? Now that I actually watched that, I only know that one scene from the Movie Night cutscene was in these funny moments videos. Really? Just one?

they still work in game. alot of those will catch you off guard. you can also see how they interact with each other. jaal basically hits on every female party member, liam is more confrontational, cora has a playfull banter with drack, very soldier like, while she dont like peebee. peebee and liam really dont like each other, while she warms up the fastest with vetra. and they kinda develop a sibling relationship. they really went much further than people think.

I love it when Lexi just was tired of you and said "Get out!"

Oh my GOD the dialogue in this game is just too good. It doesn't get the respect it deserves. Edit: And not just the dialogue, but the voice actors delivering it. The Ryders and Peebee have SUCH good delivery.

Awesome video compilation, and your ryder is pretty cool

In case you don't know, during Priority:Sur'Kesh, you can also repeatedly touch a device, and the guy (also salarian) eventually asks if the Alliance can afford their own feces scanners.

haha I love Drack, one of teh best ME characters of all time. I love the game too for all its faults and really can't understand the degree of hate this game has got

bloodswan it got the hate because the circle jerk formed and then everyone joined in so they wouldn't be left out and now that it's over people are realizing it's flawed but pretty ok

Kieran Guest I know, I usually play a Bioware RPG starting off as a female, but Scott is just better, which is weird because they have, essentially, the same lines.

IMO I found Sara's sarcasm lines are way more spot-on tho.

DowntoFunk i agree, first played through as sara and now playing as scott...sara pulls off the irreverent snark a lot better imo.

No, Sara overall is much better, there is simply more humanity to her. Once again, the Bioware streak of females being better than the males continue.

Shame this got such a bad launch and mess. I would've love to see these new cast grow and stuff. But such is life under EA. Killing our beloved games
