When I got the game I was excited as fuck. When the main title showed up with this score I just sat down and sad... "Shit. This is it. This is IT", because that score is tragic and peaceful at the same time, because it gives you that final stage feel to it, that destiny is coming for you and you gotta be strong enough to fight it. Then when "leaving earth" started, and that giant reaper showed up with that synth bass, destroying everything, butchering the kid... Jesus, it was the best beginning I've ever seen in a videogame. 7h in. I don't won't to end mass effect trilogy.

I would spend ages listening to the menu screen before playing, I really felt like the survival of the Galaxy was in my hands ❤❤❤

Sees video in recommended. "Huh, I haven't heard that song in awhile." Plays video, has instant flashbacks to the days of playing ME3 for the first time. Chills throughout the body. Zones out for 5 minutes. Is happy, somber, anxious, ready to find out what happens. I'm looking forward to replaying soon.

The ending for 3 was already expanded, it's still not perfevt, but it's still satisfying enough and reflects the choices you make along the way/the final choice you make. But yes, I'd love a remaster on PS4/Xbox One with 60fps support and some upscaled texture work

The time I was able to spend with Cmdr. Shepard on the Normandy was the most valuable time I've spent in my whole career. To see a single person and a dedicated crew rally the whole galaxy against the Reapers was an incredible experience. Shepard gave us more than just hope. Shepard gave us unity. I'm dedicating my life's work to this unique human who ended maybe millions of years of eradication by the Reapers. This music mirrors my thoughts perfectly. Thank you!

Im playing Andromeda right now after having finished the og trilogy. I don’t think its as bad as a lot people are making it out to be. Sure its nothing like the trilogy, but lets be real here, thats an EXTREMELY high bar to surpass, like, REALLY high. Overall its pretty alright so far. Shame we wont see more to it, I really love the concept of being the first people to explore and settle an entirely different galaxy.

I enjoyed Andromeda, but it doesn't compared to the ME trilogy... the trilogy is way too deep. It's unfortunate that is the hype it had to live up to, because I think if they had continued working out the bugs and added some DLC it could have been a really good game

@@tepigninja7198 I think Andromeda could have been good, but too many of its decisions ended up being easy or of little consequence. It's combat, however, was superb. I really can't look at the OT the same way. Just being able to create your own class is really neat.

Beautiful piece. The notes gently melding into one another combined with the depressing destruction going on in the background really gives a “last stand” kind of feel. I used to hate this OST, but when I sat there and really listened to it, I’ll now tear up if I think about it too hard.

Try Signalis. Very different concept alltogether but I haven't felt like this in years.

The best video gaming series ever made...remastered for Spring 2021. What else is there to say other than this year finally gave us that lucky break.

Emotional, I love Mass Effect 3, The soundtrack is amazing. The trilogy is awesome but ME3 has a special place in my heart❤.

This sends jitters down my spine and my spine loves it. Love how it is haunting, beautiful and full of sorrow at the same time

You know what's cool about this song? Is it is based off/the same progression as the credits song in ME1, M4 Part II by Faunts. Go to 4:09 in M4 Part II to hear it.

The only way that EA would make more mass effect games is if they get to add lootboxes for a chance to get stuff like missions. Not even singleplayer would be free of EA's greed.

Listening to this at 11:30 am while sitting in orbit on Destiny be hitting different. Man I enjoyed playing Mass Effect as a kid and was actually what kinda got me into Destiny as when I saw the trailer with the warlock using Nova Bomb for the first time it reminded me of the Biotics from this game.

I envy everyone who is playing this for the first time now, without years of prior investment into the universe that ME1 and ME2 built and sky-high expectations. Mass Effect used to be my all-time favorite fictional universe. I dearly wish they would have kept this game in dev for another year or two. Tuchanka and Rannoch are excellent, but everything else was rushed as hell. To say nothing of the infamous endings.

Dude this is literally the best mass effect ever and if you don’t agree you’re crazy. It has the most features, the most beautiful soundtrack that alone can literally make you tear up and this last stand storyline urgency feel that makes this game all too surreal. It feels like people are literally dying every second that goes by. The best game series I’ve ever played. And yes I’ve played The Witcher series.

You spend two games trying to prep the galaxy for a future conflict. You warn Earth, and its as prepped as it possibly could be. And none of it fucking mattered, because the Reapers still steamrolled. Best trilogy ive ever played.

I remember playing the demo of ME3 (which is basically just Earth ) and this started playing, i specifically said out loud "Annnnd i'm crying already". So beautiful

I remember being a freshman in college when this game released. I preordered it, but I had mid-terms that week, so I casually got my pre-order in the middle of the day and couldn't play for another day or 2 still. I busted ass to finish everything so that I could fully immerse myself with this masterpiece afterwards. I would love to replay the trilogy, but the ending makes me unbelievably sad. ME3 in general just has a lot of sad, emotional moments. I will gave the writers' credit though, its remarkable that a video game can illicit such an intense response from me

I did a playthrough of ME legendary edition around 18 months ago. This makes me want to do it all over again 😅😊

countless hours as a young person playing this game. my imagination always ran wild every time I played each game, exploring worlds, reading every bit of rich and detail lore to the very core of the planet's descriptions, spending hours just being in the galaxy map, and immersing myself in a world that I will never be able to participate in my lifetime, but may possibly happen in the future for those to be born and grow. even its troubles that the series had, it will rest in my heart to the day I die. thank you mass effect, for making me feel like I was truly an explorer of space, for making me feel emotions that even to this day, not a single game can do.\ thank you bioware.

I screwed up hard on Rannoch and Tali ended up killing herself ;_; I said F*CK NO. Thankfully I had a not too distant save and am going to try to get them both to survive or let the geth die off along with Legion. Tali will never be sacrificed ;_;

Meanwhile, after the systems alliance has become 500 years old: Person: so what are going to do with the Normandy? Scrap it? It's just a small ship from like 2-300 years ago. Another person: no. The Normandy is the reason why we are alive. Do you remember what people said about how the reapers? Well there is one single crew member alive from that time. Go ask them about Commander Shepard and how he saved the entire galaxy from extermination. The Normandy will never be scrapped. Nothing must happen to it.

I finished "Mass Effect Legendary Edition" a little over 2 weeks ago, but to me it feels like a decade ago. I have never felt that before!

Some people are at their best, when their on their worst.

The nostalgia is Killing me in the best way possible.

The moment I played this game for the first time, all I could think was that "This is it. This is the end of a fantastic journey. Thank you Bioware for making this one of my favorite series's in my life." Even after playing the Legendary Edition with all the DLCs in it, I cannot wait to replay this again in it's entirety now.

I've made it this far and stay thankful for my time here. 2023 and I can still find a memory that makes me tear up. A video game lol. Little older, little wiser and full of loss. While It would be nice to have us Humans sailing this ocean of stars by now, I actually wish we'd made more progress on curing more in the medical field. If anyone reads this in 100yrs know that not all of us were divided. There were more of us working towards a better future for humanity. Giving what baby step we can that Humans might one day cure all of our ailments or just provide work and slave for corporations who care nothing about us. We worked together where we could, because most people are like that. Good natured, kind and thankful for a healthy green Earth.

Mass Effect indeed feels like an adventure on his own. I have played many games, i love Skyrim, i have played countless hours of CK2 and its mods, Fallout 4 and many more, but no game gaves me the feels that this game makes me feel. Even with it's flaws is still a great game.

I miss these games. Like ok yeah I have the legendary edition on my series x so I can play it at anytime I want. I guess I just want that first playthrough experience haha. Shit I still have my mass effect 3 poster and dog tags you could get from gamestop hanging on my wall.

Compared to the previous 2 games, this definitely sounds like a "This is it. Time for the finale." but also a "Goodbye."

In 10 years, I wish they made a full remake of the entire trilogy...

Sometimes when i can't find a way out of my depression I start to play mass effect from one to the last part I transfer my saves. Sheppard comes through this story like a true hero And then this intro happens, I still listen this composition in the main menu like 5 minutes every time can not describe how does it feels But all I can, is... I am commander Sheppard and this is my favorite song of the trilogy

Hearing this music for the very first time, you knew you were in for one hell of an emotional ride. Spoilers ahead. This is for Thane, who used his last bit of strength to say a prayer for Shepard on his own deathbed. This is for Mordin, who sacrificed his life to cure the genophage. This is for the quarians, who died valiantly fighting to reclaim their lost homeworld after three centuries of wandering the stars aimlessly. This is for the humans, who suffered unthinkable horrors back on Earth. And ultimately, this is for Shepard. The greatest hero in galactic history, who gave their life (perhaps) to destroy the greatest threat to biological life in the known universe.

Imagine a side story in this game, as an Alliance soldier waiting for Shepard to come back. Months and months of absolutely messed up urban warfare against innumerable hordes of Reaper forces.

Imagine the multiplayer getting better integrated into the story, rather than leaving you to imagine it. I find it hard to believe that Shepard NEVER runs into the rest of the game's playable cast.

pretty peaceful for doomsday

the original mass effect games are the only ones that have good main menu music. All 3 are amazing.

We had the best childhoods

2012 it surely wasn't the end of the world, but it surely was the end of the Bioware

Looking back, this OST kind of feels like a eulogy to the old way of doing things, and the end of an era of great story telling. Truly sad.

@@jwolfe8195 this game is the best ever made in my honest opinion. I’ve only recently found out about this trilogy about a year ago or so. And nothing plays like it. It’s too surreal, too realistic. And if you play as your own character that if you make him/her look like you this game feels all the more too personal. Truly a gaming experience that no one else has ever replicated. 10/10.

After beating Legendary edition. It brought me alot of good and bad memories. Feels good to play this series again, but I'm still upset why I hated the ending(s)

The hate for this game was completely unjustified. It is a perfect example of "The more it is hated, the better it is".

The Firesword Dragon I played all three for the first time in three weeks just now. It was incredible way to escape Covid-19. 😁

nothing wrong with the endings. the destroyer ending is the one that fits the best imo

Any hate for this game for just the ending is stupid. This is the greatest video game ever in my opinion and the best mass effect out of the trilogy. It may be bittersweet but this game got so much right. Yes so much people bitch about rushed parts or whatever but they aren’t rushed as far I’m concerned. Everything in this game has a feeling of “last stand urgency” if you will and it felt like the perfect amount of short and sweet for everything. I literally almost wanted to cry after beating this game for the first time ever with all the other ones completed and best possible ending my first run through. This is the best video game storyline I’ve ever played in my life. And yes I’ve played the Witcher series. This game is too surreal and incredibly personal.

How bout a Mass Effect prior the reapers, where we could play different campaigns as different races with incredible stories and breathtaking drama, action and views, all culminating to the story of The original Mass Effect. Like who was Liara? Or Wrex, or Mordin and etc. Prior Shepard. Get me? Wouldn't that be fantastic?? Please continue this thought down in the reply comments

Heard rumors of a remaster of this trilogy. Just rumors. I still wanted DLC for Andromeda, it wasn’t so bad. Never saw a Game die because of so much Hate tho, it was painful to witness.

Yes Andromeda is not perfect and doesn't come close to the original trilogy but it's not that bad as people say I enjoyed it

@@RestlessRebel I’ve seen, isn’t it wonderful, it’s been a long time since I’ve seen the crew. It’ll be good to See them again. Mass effect was/is one of those gems that stays with you, even after years, you might remember when You had to make that choice, help that squadmate, or Romance that one. It’ll be great to experience those again.

So... Ready for remaster?😏
