    Thanks for the video. Saw this recently at a convention and liked it. Just got my copy yesterday. I agree the components are great and the Oink boxes are so small, which is great!

    Another excellent review! I ordered and received it, and thought it was great. My friends had more trouble grasping the concept, and appreciating it as much as I did. A few more times to the table ought to cure 'em! hahaha

    Thanks a million, Eric!! Yeah this one is easily one of the wackier/harder teaches. It's one of the bigger videos on my channel because of that, I think? But I've also had people bounce off it at first, then love it with subsequent plays. So here's hoping with your friends!! Cheers and thanks again for such great comments!! 😁🙌

    Hi Taylor, thanks for posting this video. Quick question, @2:50 after the initial fighter is debuted, is the next player limited to playing 2 cards of a different fighter to show dominance or can he choose to play 3 cards to show dominance and take control of the round?

  • @ClaudeAndTaylor

    @ClaudeAndTaylor

    Hey Pete, great question! You can only play 1 card more to show dominance, so they must play 2 cards. Cheers!!

    The one question nobody seems to have asked yet... who makes the model of a frog riding a unicycle??? I think I'll have to watch this one again, it takes a little more effort than most of your games to pick up. Then again, this is the only video I've seen in which people are distracted with a frog riding a unicycle! 🤣

    Hahaa!! It's 'Dat boi', a dumb meme joke and the people at YouToonz made a doll of it. Hahaa quite the goof! But you're totally fine as this is most Definitely one of THE hardest to learn games on the channel. It's just notoriously obtuse. But you're right, that talented frog is quite the distraction haha!

    @@ClaudeAndTaylor When I went to buy it, I almost picked up Startups. I wanted to add on one more game so I went with Ugly Christmas Sweaters. I'll likely pick up Startups next time. I saw it on SU&SD's Oink Games review and thought of all the ones they covered that'd be the one I'd go for first.

    Interesting game for sure but I can see new comers be offput by the hierarchy tracking. How do you or your game group feel about the tracking?

  • @ClaudeAndTaylor

    @ClaudeAndTaylor

    2 жыл бұрын

    Oh you're totally right, Bryan! It's probably one of the toughest to teach climbers out there. It's one of those, watch it played after the rules to really get it. I think the tracking isn't too bad after a bit because the masks coming out help track what's been played before.

    Hi! Do yo know who is next host when a player played The last card of The round and Is out of the Season because he has no More cards? The host Is The next player un clockwise order? That might be a bit unfair...

  • @ClaudeAndTaylor

    @ClaudeAndTaylor

    2 жыл бұрын

    Hey Emiliano, great question!! This is sadly not in the rules, and thus unclear. In most climbing/shedding games, when this happens, the play does go to the next player clockwise, which is a bit unfair for sure. Usually this is in partnership games, like Tichu, where the next player is at least on the other team so it's balanced, but in games like Maskmen where everyone is on their own team, it doesn't quite work. So, sadly, we go with the bit unfair rule of the next person clockwise is the next host, but I agree it's not the best rule. I do wish they had a rule for it. But thanks for the comment!! 😁🙌

  • @ClaudeAndTaylor

    @ClaudeAndTaylor

    Hey Elqor, I've heard people say it's best at 2, 3, and 4. I think it's a personal preference thing. I enjoy 3 quite well, but I'm not sure which I'd say is best. That's a tough one!
