I keep a little bottle of HG sticker remover on the van for getting rid of sticky residue left from sticky pads etc . Great stuff .

A Hair dryer helps remove any sticky residue aswell. Once it's warmed up it just slides off. For those who do not want to use any solvents.

I buy my masking tape in the automotive spray shop. Whatever they stock works great.

I use tesa tape for my jobs... Can be left for 14 days due to low tack/sensitive... this is the pink tape

Check out Kip tape on Decorating DIrect, can stay down for 6 months. Amazing stuff, used it on a 5 week job in December. Cleanest lines going.

It’s to demonstrate how to deal with the tape residue. He is not going to demonstrate it after he has painted it is he?

Recently came across this when i bought a set of hamilton scrapers with stupid thick stickers stuck to em.

Top tip from a top man.

Plastic protector adhesive roll for Hard floor/surfaces and carpet also have a time limit on how long it can stay down

Kip tape on Decorating Direct, best tape out there bar none.

I was in a bit of a sticky situation - top tip 👍

I can understand masking up a natural wood cill , but to protect a primed mdf cill makes no sense??

Plasterers did it we think just the wrong tape was used..

Just use professional tapes not cheap general purpose ones, Q1 delicate surface and tesa pink etc

Best painting instruction on the internet by far . If you want knowledge stay on this site . If you want funny painting entertainment with little knowledge go somewhere else

Did you use dial masking tape...? That was the mistake. Get a better quality masking tape and save the cost of the white spirit and gloves. Not to mention the labour. Remember time is money.
