Not bad at all, I can definitely understand these cars for their performance/luxury for such a low used price. Most of the issues I’ve heard people have had are with the f1 transmissions

The interior was one of the main reasons I chose this car. The interior looks much nicer than the Maserati granturismo, Ferrari 360 or lambo Gallardo. You'd really have to go f430, 550/575 Maranello or later to get nicer interior It's difficult to appreciate on video but the interior has so much leather around you, it's a real nice place to be. The rear seats look strange but when you sit in them, you sink in and it feels cozy and usable even for an adult (obviously not as nice as s Quattroporte or other 4 door, but far better than most other 2+2 cars) The wizard here says the rear seats are very small, but you need to sit in them to appreciate that they are actually very comfortable and much more spacious than you'd expect for a 2+2. Without sitting in them they look small and uncomfortable for sure Having said that, rear seats on a granturismo are probably more comfortable, but the rest of the interior (from test driving a few) is just uglier and doesn't feel near as special
I have the same car but a Spyder. I did the same mid X-Pipe Larini mod and ALSO changed the front factory ""squashed" cats to the Larini free flow ones - BIG difference in not only sound but increased torque - those squash factory cats are very exhaust gas flow limiting. These cars are hidden gems and with the F1 gearbox correctly sorted are great to drive at a low $$ investment.. plus they attract far more attention than the common Ferrari.. IMHO these cars are the "intelligent mans" Ferrari.
I am the proud owner of a 2007 Maserati Gransport . Right now I think that Maseratis like that one has the best performance/style/ beauty /money ratio that you can find These are great cars if kept well maintained. Congratulations from Spain!👍👍👏👏👏
I love your calm, relaxed, presentation style. The Bob Ross of the automotive world.
10:28 Wizard saying "Yes" when the car revs is like the phantom saying "Sing (aah)" in the Phantom of the Opera.
Got to change the clutch in my Spyder so will definitely look into updating the exhaust system since it has to come out - now that I know, also thanks for the formula dynamics upgrade info, really feel its an area that needs some attention on the car and hopefully will reduce the insane clutch wear - thanks Wiz you're the Merlin
I like the ceiling liner as well. My first thought was weathertech floor liners had entered the ceiling liner business. Awesome video of a beautiful car!
Hey Wizard & Mrs Wizard!! Thanks for the fun Maserati video!!! 🙂 I think that you should make the "little toilet" back seats functional 🤪
I loved the "get on that throttle, Mrs. Wizard!" gesture. That was my good laugh for the day :)

I always love a Maserati themed video.
Nice work, Car Wizard! Can’t wait for the next video!
The back-end looks identical to a 1992-'96 Honda Prelude!
I hadn't seen this Maserati before. It is a simple mechanical design and pretty. The changes seem to have been worth it.
Love Maserati Content
‘...isn’t it cute that little shifter’... the silence of Mrs Wizard says enough 🤣
Always loved these, also very reasonably priced here in the UK. Always fancied one but always put off by how much they are to look after. Weekend car, perfect, if its a good one and you keep the miles down.
2 position paddle shifter. Go and Go-Go!
You know before I wasn't too interested in the walk-around but to be honest with you it's growing on me and I can appreciate it
I think this is my favorite modern Maserati model. I have the 09 QP V S executive GT 4.7L, but this one in manual is awesome.
That exhaust sounded awesome. Lovely car.

Never seen a wizard video as soon as it’s posted. Let’s get started!
I really enjoy reading the insightful arguments from automotive experts intelligible on specific models of cars without using Google to enhance their humble rebuttals
For the Zonda sound keep the two sets of three cylinders on each bank separate for as far as possible like there are four 3 cylinder engines. The closer to the engine the banks are joined the less of a F1 or Zonda sound it will make.
Wow, that engine bay looks like a new car.
Thanks for showing us that sweet Maserati, Wizard. As for a favorite exhaust, for my 328i I like the sound of the AWE Tuning exhaust. Otherwise, Magnaflow sound good on domestic cars.
My ex '62 Rambler Ambassador had a torque tube setup. It was a PIA when the transmission had to come out for a rebuild.

That throttle responce will bite like a scorpion if it does not go to stock proportion or worse in reverse, that has a safety setup that uses the clutch life sensor to initiate continuous slip in reverse, it should move at idle, but tap that throttle for aesbestos scent.

Thank you for a fantastic Chanel. This is a ”friday highlight” when i can relax along with some calm after the week. Do you have any experiens with Aston Martin, and has it any similaritys with Maserati? Thankful for answer/Fredrik
Favorite Exhaust System? For me its the standard OEM exhaust on the 4.7L Maserati V8 MC. By far. The best sounding. By far.
I love the new intro, wizard!
Maserati offers some really beautiful shades of blue paint. Really like this car’s exterior color and I recently saw a new Levante in a slightly darker blue. It was a real head turner.

My Toyota mechanic has one of these, 4200GT they're named here. Beautiful car.
Looks like a 92-96 Honda Prelude with a cheap aftermarket bumper cover from the rear. YUK!
Great video. Thanks for showing a nice example of the brand. It's good to see a maserati on KZread that is entact. Instead of all the "cheapest in the country" that are falling apart due to years of neglect and abuse. Hopefully this may help with some of the false perceptions around reliability and quality...
@lesterparker1594

False perceptions? Most of these are junk after 10 years. Not because of bad maintenance, because they’re junky. There’s a reason they’re super expensive new and super cheap after 7 years. Everyone knows they fall apart. It’s not a false perception

What a really nice example of this model. Kudos to the owner for looking after it so well. You could eat your lunch off that engine. All that appears left to do is fix the kerb rash on the wheels, but that shouldn't be too difficult.

Look at this beautiful 456 in the backround! Prettiest Ferrari ever! I really hope we get an in depth look at this one too.
last July I bought a 2007 Quatroporte, very low mileage and a great price. Knowing the cost of having them worked on I am glad I am still capable to do my own work at 65 yrs and on Veterans Disability, I manage, slowly but manage. like that one in the video, it has the Ferrari Engine, but has the ZF transmission, which is all-around better than the F1 transmission. shifts quicker and smoother, it's a double clutch, were as the F1 is a single clutch I believe and needs changed at about every 5000 miles and not an easy job
@tycinis
3 жыл бұрын
The f1 clutch last between 10000 and 30000 miles , but yeah at some point you have to change it and it's more a less 4k$.
Beautiful blue
See one in Illonois for just under $19K, amazed at the mileage 10 city/ 15 highway, must just suck that gas down when you press the pedal.
My favorite exhaust system is one that is quiet, not loud and drones.
I like the new intro!
You can buy these in the UK for good prices,i love the inside of these cars, many cows gave their lives for these cars, there is leather every where, some jobs on these are pricey but for the price of the cars it's ok.
My, what a gem.
Its funny how that thing sounds with the new exhaust after you mentioned how the crankshaft was much more American V8'ish, like you can still hear sort of a V8 Burble you'd hear on an american car yet with more bite when you started it up, like it makes me wonder if you could put that exhaust on a Chevy V8 and make it sound like that too.
rear lights are similar to Daewoo Nubira's rear lights, thanks to Giorgetto Giugiaro
hopefully you can do a video on the Maybach soon, it feels like its been a while
Very nice. You should put that maserati engine in a old car like the malibu
10:51 it is surely a very nice car but at the same time it is also a compact car that doesn't need much space

Favorite exhaust? The one Hoovie put in his Ferrari 355, before it went 🔥🚗🔥.
