So appreciate the fact that diddy gave him a chance yes, but to lay down and allow another man to take money out my pockets. #pause and stop it fam. He was the only one on that stage at the time that had hits, everyone else was still trying to get a spot, mase was the face of hip hop at this time. X hadn’t even scratched the surface yet. Nah it wasn't clear. DMX was a star yes, but so was Mase and the Lox. DMX was barely known here and his album hadn't even dropped yet All he had was a few features. Mase was the star at this particular moment and in hip hop culture they are all legends.
