Real Life Joe Higashi. This era was out of an Anime/Movie/ Video Game. Badr Hari, Masato, Buakaw, Souwer, Bonjasky and so much more! K-1 was truly a masterpiece.

I agree ! I always felt they need to recreate a K1 video game or some type of animation or documentary, highlighting this golden era of K1. These guys were literally the scariest strikers on the planet and they created history with their epic bouts.

Absolutely. When I first saw Masatos walkouts I thought to myself Man, that guy has such an ego. I then realised he can back it up. If he says 1st round KO at press conference he means it.
Masato,Buakaw,Souwer,Zambidis..this era look like street fighters

@@BATMAN_06 It was ruled a draw, Petrosyan was super young and had been fighting Muay Thai I think like for 6 years. It’s incredible what he did.

Petrosyan was great but he came in at the right time when the golden Era K1 max fighters weren no longer in their prime. Masato would have been beaten petrosyan

Masato-san was an absolute monster
He was soo fast. You could literally blink and miss his shots. Amazing kickboxer.

I saw his matches against Mike Zambidis, and he lost both. Blatant robberies in both matches which were clear wins for Mike Zambidis. Anyone with any real fighting knowledge and who can count knows this. Makes you wonder how many more battles were rigged in Masato's favor ?!?!? For context.. Masoto got a knockout score for hitting his gloves, and since mike moved back he went on his backend. That is not a real knockout. LOL..... count all hits in all rounds and it is so obvious!
